LT Switch v1.5 On Sale

This is the new Xecuter LT Switch v1.5 – the latest version in the best selling Xecuter LT Switch range. Now Includes MULTI-R Function. It was discovered that a small number of Liteon drives would not dump the firmware with a 20 ohm resistor – but required an 18 Ohm or 22 Ohm resistor –  so now you can select between 18, 20 and 22 Ohms ! (Default should be set to 20 Ohms – this will work 99% of the time) The installation is very simple and takes about 5 minutes if you have some small experience with a soldering iron. It has been tested with the latest Jungle Flasher 0.1.73. All Liteon drive versions have been tested with 100% Success (Including the troublesome Winbond IC). There is no need to remove the LT Switch after it has been installed – simply switch to normal mode and you are good to go. Even if you have to upgrade in the future – you don't have to touch the switch again ! Don't be fooled by more expensive copycat products. This is the only solution you need to do a very simple job. XM360 v1.4 PREVIEW

Node21 (Team XeDev) released a new version of XM360. What's new/fixed:* There has been a TON of work put in recently, and I wanted to get a "preview" version out so that I can start hearing the bug reports/feature requests* Instead of scanning the drive every single time, XM360 now stores the results of the scan in a local file after the scan is completed. This is important for the following reasons: 1) If you don't "rescan" after you know there have been changes, those changes WILL NOT be reflected in XM360… So, remember to "rescan" if you have added or removed content. 2) Currently, you can't choose where this file gets stored. It could be slow on a USB stick, and break completely if you try to turn XM360 into a LIVE package.* There is now major support for transfering content between 360s that are running XM360. Make sure each one has a recent "rescan". And see the config file for information on how to configure XM360 to find your 360s on the network. You can "push" content to another box, or "pull" content to your local box. All content is displayed with a big "L" if it is local, and a big "R" if it is remote. Currently, this is only implemented for XBLA titles (not DLC or TU yet).* Transfers are initiated by clicking down on the right thumbstick. Anyone get a better icon for this than the one I made?* Transfer status is shown at the bottom of the screen. I suggest you don't do anything *wrong* why the transfer is working (like launching a title). Also, you can start multiple transfers, since it is all threaded…but in this version it really confuses the transfer status at the bottom of the screen.* A GREAT BIG HUGE thanks to dschu012 of x-s for altering the fetchMS_DLC.pl...

XePatcher v1.1

TheFallen93 released XePatcher v1.1: XePatcher is a simple xex patching app. It will compile a given patch file, and apply the compiled binary to the specified xex. It works much like kernel patches. You start by making a ".s" patch file for your xex. Use the exact addresses you find in IDA as the addresses of the patches. Once you have made all the patches you want, run your ".s" patch file and the xex it should be applied to though XePatcher. It will compile the patch file and report any errors. If it compiles sucessfully then it will decrypt and decompress the xex, apply all the patches, fix all security on the xex, then if specified, will encrypt and compress the xex. NOTE: Everyone who uses this will have to put XexTool.exe in the same folder as XePatcher.exe. Official Site: n/a, by TheFallen93Download: hereNews-Source:...

JTAG Saver v1.0

Xbox1Crew released JTAG Saver v1.0 – for safer jtagging your 360: Reasoning behind the design:We wanted a simple, easy, and effective way of shutting down the jtag when it wasnt needed any longer.Trying a 555 timer circuit, the circuit worked well, but was too expensive for people to get behind. This revisionactually costs about 2 dollars USD to implement and works well, without all of the extra components that were needed forour first revision. What will Jtag Saver do for me?It will, in essence, allow you to safely use your jtagged xbox 360 without worry due to extra voltage or current being appliedto areas that weren't meant to have them applied. This circuit will shut the jtag circuit off after 15 seconds to try and limitthe damage that could be caused after long periods of use. We developed this circuit after a few boards died soon after jtagging. It was too close together to be coincidental. Most boxesthat died did so within a week of jtagging. THIS is the reason for our pursuit. The circuit has been tested thoroughly. Many on/off cycles were gone through to make sure that it worked every single time. It did.Optionally, you can add a resistor and LED to pin 7 to show you when pin 6 is shut off (goes high). A 220 ohm resistor should suffice, butthis part is up to the end user. NWP CHIP v2 and CMD RF controller released

From eurasia.nu: GodzIvan strikes again with an update of the Xbox 360 NAND flash write protection chip now called NWP CHIP v2 Nand Write Protect Chip V2. This version uses the Xbox 360 native LED ring (instead of a bi-color LED) to show status, so all you need to do is to flash a PIC12F629 microcontroller and install by soldering wires. After checking the diagram I think the solder points looks easier as well.LED RING RED -> UNProtectedLED RING GREEN -> ProtectedLED RING ORANGE -> SETTINGLED RING BLINK GREEN -> STATE SELECT ENABLELED RING BLINK RED -> STATE SELECT DISABLELED RING BLINK ORANGE -> SAVING 1) TURN OFF THE XBOX2) STATUS = Press the Sync Botton for 3 secs (GREEN = Protected; RED = UNProtected)3) SETTING MODE = Press the Sync Botton for 6 secs (till ORANGE = Setting)4) SET PROTECTION = Press the Sync Botton for changing the setting (BLINKING GREEN = Protected; BLINKING RED = UNProtected)5) SAVE = Press the Sync Botton for 6 secs (till BLINKING ORANGE =...

What's new/fixed:+ Extraction of thumbnails from Xbox1 ISO images. This release adds support for thumbnail extraction from an Xbox1 ISO's default.xbe. If the XBE has provided a thumbnail for savegames this will be used for preference. If the save thumbnail isn't present then the title thumbnail will be used instead. There is currently an issue with certain games where it's not possible to convert the thumbnails from XPR->DDS->PNG due to the data being in a non-standard DDS format. If anybody has a detailed specification for the XPR format used in the $$XSIMAGE/$$XTIMAGE sections of an XBE, feel free to get in touch.+ Option to "auto-browse" for an ISO image when adding an ISO to convert.~ Improvements to XBE code.~ Removed debug code from v1.3.1. XeDOSBox v0.1 Beta

LoveMHz of Team XeLove released XeDOSBox, a port of DOSBox for homebrew Xbox 360s: About XeDOSBox:Yet another great project to work with. This is also Team XeLove's first opensource release. There's still a some bugs left but a few games are running. Note that this is a beta. Wikipedia –DOSBox is a full CPU emulator, capable of running DOS programs that require the CPU to be in either real mode or protected mode.3 Other similar programs, such as dosemu or VDMs for Windows and OS/2, provide compatibility layers and rely on virtualization capabilities of the 386 family processors. Since DOSBox can emulate its CPU by interpretation, it is independent of its host CPU.3 However, on systems which provide the i386 instruction set, the option to use dynamic instruction translation is available in DOSBox. Though this setting is less accurate and reliable, it is faster than interpretive CPU emulation." FEATURES:* USB Keybaord and Chatpad Support* Config File Support (Should work from CON files) TODO LIST:* Fix Bug that causes crash in alot of programs.* Better keyboard support.* Graphical Frontend for loading custom config files(Like the Wii Port)* Mouse Support* And alot more. Modified Avalaunch Disc Allows to Boot Xbox1 Homebrew like XBMC on 360

From farmboynick: I have just launched XBMC for Xbox1 on my Xbox360, it was so simple … I patched Avalaunch(info) to boot from disk with a halo title id and put a XBMC folder on the disk. After Avalaunch booted I went to file manager and copied the XBMC folder to the E-drive, then simply clicked the XBMC XBE file and it worked. So far I have been able to launch all XBMC versions that I have tried and can also launch surreal64 and some xbox1 games in file form from HDD. All from selecting the XBE in the Avalaunch file manager Some versions of XBMC can run picture files, some can run music files, so far I can't get AVI movies to play or gain network access. XM360 v1.3b

Node21 (Team XeDev) released a new version of XM360. What's new/fixed (since v1.2):* Added support for ntpd. Each time you launch XM360, it will update the 360's clock (if it can connect to the ntpd) – Big Thanks to Ced2911 of team xedev!* Added ability to configure the IP of the ntpd server (see the cfg file for more details)* Added time display to first page* Because some people may now use XM360 *only* to set their clock, it no longer automatically scans when starting up* Added support for an extra path to search for XBLA titles instead of only the built in ones. See the cfg file for more details.* The report generated for DLC now clearly indicates DLC which you have but wasn't found when scraping the marketplace.* Fixed focus stuck on list if you moved there before scanning* If your startup time is very long, it's because XM360 is trying to reach the time server and can't. Either figure out why that is, and fix it, or set your TIME_SERVER_IP to be empty in the config file and setting the time will be skipped.* Fixed EXTRA_XBLA_SEARCH_PATH not working (it was working, but erroneously stated that it needed a trailing slash) Official Site: http://xedev.xbins.org/Download: n/a (built with...

XECUTER NAND-X

First of all let us congratulate the winner of the product naming competition. Well done to xellaphan from New Jersey, USA for giving us the simple and yet obviously descriptive XECUTER NAND-X. Probably the easiest $1000 that guy has ever made 😉 There were several thousand entries so thanks to everyone that gave it a go. Thanks also for giving us the chance to give a little back to the scene members. Sure you get the complainers and the trolls but luckily they are a lonely minority. The majority give great feedback and also give us many ideas to implement into products. There were many cool ideas in there for future products – if we ever use someones idea we will definitely make sure it's rewarded. If you don't like the name – then you can send a complaint email to wedontcare@team-xecuter.com 😉 Now, for several weeks we have been discussing our toying with 360 homebrew and we were asked by many forum members to design a high quality USB NAND programmer and JTAG connection kit in all all-in-one package. There are quite a few good kits already available on the market but there wasn't one that gave a complete professional solution so that's where the XECUTER NAND-X comes in. Based on the proven and excellent NAND PRO USB Programmer designed by illustrious scene member Tiros, we have developed a very tight package that gives you everything you need without having to use any other parts or self-made cables and kits – and certainly without breaking the bank! Not only do we provide one of the fastest 360 NAND programmers currently available, but we have designed a very simple connection system using our popular and much used quicksolder PCB breakout boards – and as a bonus we have also integrated a programmer so you are able to update the...

ISO2GOD v1.3.0

We love this app 🙂 KrK / Team 360h released a version of ISO2GOD, a PC app for converting Xbox 360 ISO images straight into Games on Demand containers. What's new/fixed:+ Support for conversion of Xbox1 ISO images. Now that it's possible to execute Xbox XBEs using the Xbox1 emulator, it seemed like a good time to add in support for Xbox1 ISO conversion to Iso2God. Xbox1 titles cannot be run from Games on Demand containers, but thanks to some hard work by rab, it turns out they run just fine when launched from an Xbox Originals container which use a different content type of 0x00005000. Keep in mind if the default.xbe for the Xbox1 ISO has been altered in any way, or is not on the official compatibility list, you'll need to use the modified Xbox1 emulator which was leaked recently. Not all titles will work 100% as they will only work if the emulator supports them. Thanks go out to rab for his work in getting Xbox titles up and running from GOD containers and the large amounts of testing he ends up doing for I2G.~ Changed starting sector of rebuilt ISOs to match SDK.~ Fixed handling of Unicode characters in Title Names.~ Fixed issue when custom thumbnails were loaded.~ Fixed error when a queued conversion with no thumbnail was edited.~ Lots of other boring tweaks and fixes. Hacked Xbox1 Backwards Compatibility v5829 Leaked

A hacked version of the Xbox1 Backwards Compatibility v5829 (November 2007) has been leaked yesterday. It wasn't supposed to be out (yet), but as it's all over the internet now I guess we could just mention it too. Was originally made for devkits, but should work just fine on jtagged homebrew 360s too: I've attempted to remove any limits on the emulator, although i left in game ratings checks in case you dont want your little ones to play violent games 🙂 This can be toggled in the dashboard anyway. The following hacks were done to the emulator: * Xbe signature checks removed (lets you run unsigned code) * Xbe section hash checks removed (lets u run hacked xbes) * Game region checks removed (region free baby!) * Game media checks removed (play games from your hard drive) * Debug/Devkit xbes supported (run your own xbox1 code) * Attempt to play unsupported games (doesn't mean it will work hehe) To install this, copy the Compatibilty folder to your devkits Y drive. You may want to remove any existing files, although this should overwrite all files. Note: it will boot (some) Xbox1 homebrew as well, however don't expect everything to work perfectly. And no … XBMC will not run fully on it (don't expect video playback etc). CK3 Probe v2 First Batch Available & New LT Switch v1.5

As previously announced the CK3 Probe v2 shipment was on hold due to the delay on the custom made conductive glue shipment. Due to the quantity it was not allowed to be flown on a airplane so had to be transported by ship (which has caused an 8 week delay). However we have been inundated with requests to release a batch of the stock without the glue as many of you are simply prepared just to do the trace repairs yourselves. Naturally we have instructed the resellers who are selling without the glue to give a discount and to make sure that you are made aware that the glue is not included. It is on its way so if you are desperate for the no-solder solution then you'll have to wait a couple more weeks. The good news is that while we were waiting for the glue we had time to add a new feature called MULTI-R which is also a new feature that we have added to an upgraded version of the ridiculously popular LT Switch. With the help of TeaJunkie on our forums who has become somewhat of a go-to guy for repairing Liteon PCB's that some of you had butchered in a frenzy of solder-hate, we discovered a very small number of DVD drives that simply would not switch to vendor mode. Now before a thousand of you who couldn't get 0x72 vendor mode start waving your hands, the number of returned drives with this error was 2 out of 63 drives. The majority of the time it was user error. However even if there is a small chance of an issue, we had to find a solution and implement it. After input from other experienced members and various articles on the same problem, we found that the LT Switch default resistor level of 20 Ohms...
