Aurora 0.5b by Phoenix

Aurora 0.5b Released! End of January we gave you a preview of features to come for Aurora 0.5b. We've all been pretty busy, but managed to get it done.Aurora 0.5b implements the following new features: ConnectX Content search Quick Views ConnectXConnectX support is back (dll not included). You can once again load your games over the network through an SMB share.Known Issue: Some network setups might cause long wait times (1 or 2 min.) when initialising ConnectX after cold boot or connection loss. This can result in one or more of the following issues: Games on a ConnectX path will not be available until ConnectX is initialised; Filemanager will not show ConnectX path until ConnectX is initialised; The launch DVD button is disabled until ConnectX is initialised; Launching any title before ConnectX is fully loaded will wait on the last part of the progress bar until ConnectX is initialised; Other unexpected wait times (they will feel like freezes, but after the ConnectX is initialised, Aurora will continue as normal). Please report these issues on our forums on RMS with as much information as possible.Content searchPressing X on CoverFlow will show the Browse window, in which you can search for titles by pressing X again. The search results will be reflected on the CoverFlow view as well, until cleared in the Browse window.Quick ViewsOur biggest addition to this release is Quick Views. We know some of you have been asking to bring back the tabs from Freestyle 3,however since the first releases of Aurora we've had our own ideas of how to combine multiple filters and sort orders into one view, allowing for a tabs like feature, that would be fully customizable.Due to the magnitude of the changes needed for this feature, it has taken us a few releases to actually implement it, but it is here today, in 0.5b.A Quick View consists...

CR4 XL – The Reviews Are In

We will let the users do the talking….. CR4 XL is the perfect solution, only 5 wires, only 1 post this CR4XL is balls quick! Definately worth the wait. My only critcism is that there is no challenge. So if you are looking for a challenge, maybe this isn't the chip for you – Taijigamer2 Falcons on RGH2+ work just fine I have already done two Falcons with RGH2+ and got them down to instaboots consistently! – ChaseResolute Received my 1st CR4 XL today and just finished installing it and well what can i say instaboot. I used the v3 QSB and the v3 post QSB. One pulse and up to dash, awesome – tomma66 Well straight out of the box this console booted straight up with just all the standard settings, without any messing i would say pretty damn impressive. Jeez this is easy, no messing about much here !!!! Played with caps to get more consistancy and have settled on a 22pf and all is great, very impressed with CR4 – Utmad Fantastic very easy to install and perfect the boot times on Corona 1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,1 – daman10 This is by far the best chip on the market i needed no tweeking to get a near on instaboot 100% of the time r-jtag+ cr4 xl jasper. this is the chip i know i will be using for all of my future installs – scott1503 This console has had several diff chips (CR3, RGX, Proto v2, Sqt 2.0) in it because I was trying to find something that Would boot fast and consistent. I spent alot of time tuning the different chips and it would boot great one time and the next would be awful. I finally put the RGX back into it and was just going to deal with it because it seemed to boot the best. But...

Xbox 360 Emulator Research Project "Xenia"

Ben Vanik has begun work on an Xbox 360 Emulator. Currently, it does nothing but some XEX print outs, but the immense amount of time and research put into this project is amazing and shows that 2014 will be a great year for 360 emulation. If you have a GitHub account, you can star this REPO and watch as development progresses. Its open source, as you probably guessed. Whats even more interesting is that Ben's previous jobs include working at Google and Microsoft. The goal of this project is to experiment, research, and educate on the topic of emulation of modern devices and operating systems. It is not for enabling illegal activity. All information is obtained via reverse engineering of legally purchased devices and games and information made public on the internet (you'd be surprised what's indexed on Google)- Ben Vanik Find out more at Ben's Github:...

XBOX ONE – How To Install A Bigger Hard Drive !

I think one of our dev team may have figured out how to successfully install a bigger HDD to an XBOX ONE. Tested with a 1TB so far and it seems to work well – although I haven't seen it myself yet. It's Thanksgiving night and i'm shit faced  This is not a 100% confirmation but it's looking good so far. Will post more info as I get it. Great for the scene to have the very first XBONE "hack" though  UPDATE: OK Confirmed  Full credits to Juvenal for this little beauty – you rock bro  As always no guarantees are given and use at your own risk ! https://github.com/juvenal1/xboxonehdd Click Here To Download Xbox One HDD Tools What this does Given any HDD over 500GB in size, you can format it for use with you Microsoft Xbox One console How Instructions All of this must be done as root! I HIGHLY suggest you do this on a livecd or usb booted system if you don't 'know linux' and would rather not wipe the wrong hard drive. Connect your HDD and take note of what its called (ex: sda, sdb etc) Run the script with the device name as the first parameter It will bitch about missing partitions etc, but write a file with commands to create said missing partitions Run the created script Copy the correct files to the newly created partitions Unmount the newly created partitions Run the main script again Putting it back together When you put the new HDD in your console for the first time and boot up, the console will go the the green "Xbox One" screen, pause for a second or two, then shut down. Boot the console again. This time it should pause at the green screen for a while longer, then go to a black screen for even longer. It...

Slim Proto V2 In Production

We finally nailed the perfect glitch code for all slim consoles with the Slim Proto. We thank the many many members for their feedback and test results. Because of you we are now able to produce the perfect hardware that will work with all slims and require very little tuning (even less effort than the first slim proto) Rather than come up with a fancy name i'll just stick with the brand name "proto" (which i guess is a fancy name in itself?)  In production right now is the Slim Proto v2 – however this is the full version and not a prototype so don't be fooled by the name. Changes: Improved code – performance fine tuned Smaller footprint/tighter circuit layout to give cleaner signal performance Added ROL output support Added CR_EN pad No more solder bridges required Includes custom made "pro" double shielded and grounded CPU_RST Cable Supports Trinity & Corona v1 – v6 This product will replace the CR3 Pro which has now been discontinued. This will be the last Slim RGH device we will make, we feel that it just can't get any better. For performance and test reviews of the Slim proto v1 please go here: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=249 RRP $29.99 / £17.99 / €21.99 – of course we are also offering wholesale discounts and most retailers will pass those on to end users. We have started accepting pre-orders from retailers so we suggest you contact your preferred retailer and ask them to get their orders in...

DashLaunch 3.09 Released

DashLaunch 3.09 Released A new version of DashLaunch has been released with some minor bug fixes. ChangeLog ================================================== ============================== V3.09 – fix in update server for corona 16M consoles (thanks Danny Lane!) – added exception logging to installer – fix some minor bugs – *known issue* some situations are causing a black screen when starting installer, it somehow seems to be related to USB devices and/or signed in profiles. If you run into this issue, try the debug version of installer – it's slower because it's logging to disk but apparently works fine. (thanks again Danny!) V3.08 – tweak xelllaunch, see it's readme for how it's changed – all patch sets updated to support xebuild update server full use – added xebuild update server and related options – fixed a bug with signnotice on 13604 (and probably older) – changed farenheit to fahrenheit everywhere it wasn't before – added 16537 Source:...
