Thanks for creating that list teajunkie most of taken some time to find all of that out. I noticed my mobo sata was listed there so I can finally but my via in storage and insert a 4 port sata raid card. Do you know if the Intel 82801GB/GR/GH is compatible with the M28 samsung

I've got NVIDIA nForce 430/410 Serial ATA Controller, is this the same thing as NVIDIA nForce 4 SATA Controller?

all id say is try it mate and then report back. as tj said that these should work but the onlyway to know for certain is to plug a 360 drive in and see if its detected. be sure to use the primary sata port though.

hope that helps mate.

I tried flashing my xbox360 from all 4 SATA ports on my NVidia EVGA 132-CK-NF78 2 mother board. Didn't work, incase theres anyone out there with the same mobo. I couldn't get Dos Flash or JungleFlasher to read my BenQ drive.

So I just purchased the VIA VT6421A IDE & SATA RAID PCI Controller Card from the TekGems website for $16.49 USD ...thats including shipping costs. From what I read I should have no problem reading the BenQ with that and it's a good deal.

Plus once I'm done using the VIA card I can use it to hook up an extra internal HDD out of my old computer i don't use anymore through the IDE slot. OR I could also use the cards external eSATA input to get faster transfer speeds with my external Hard drives. Not bad for 17 bux.

Or get that one and actually have it shipped vis US and not take over a week to arrive.

ASUS P5Q (and pro, and deluxe)on board works. Only on IDE if you are running raid, you need a via card.

Just tested MSI 785GM-E51 board with SB710 southbridge chipset. Tested newest liteon 9345c and works on ALL sata ports flawlessly. Tested read, write, erase, refresh couple of times and works 100% stable.

I would just like to add that the VIA VT8237r chipset works using JungleFlasher v0.1.76 Beta or later...It's built into my Asus A8V-SE motherboard and maybe others.

My current setup includes:
1.) Xecuter CK3 Pro Rev. D
2.) Xecuter CK3 Probe v2
3.) VIA VT8237r on-board SATA
4.) JungleFlasher v0.1.76 Beta

With this configuration I was able to update the firmware on my Liteon 74850C from iXtreme 1.51 to the LT+ firmware...Works great!

I recomend the x360USBPRO,I don't thiink any onboard chipset's or going to work on this drive, and is still unknown because the 0225 fW is not out yet.
I also recomending you read up on it the info about the 0225 drive is all over this site.

You can read & dump the 0225 key by some onboard SATA chipsets.

Drive: Lite-On slim FW0225
Sata: AMD/ATI SB750
Flash tool: Jungleflasher 1.82 (Beta)
Windows 7 x64
Powered by Xbox phat

Just wanted to add that my onboard AMD SB600 has successfully flashed at least one of every Phat 360 drive.

The onboard SATA needs to be in 'Native IDE' mode, and for some reason only the master ports work (channel 0 master - 1st port, channel 1 master - third port). Working PC drives or 360 drives hooked to other 2 ports won't detect as anything in JF or DosFlash, but it could just be my motherboard causing this fluke.

Using a pretty dated ECS KA3 MVP Motherboard and an AM2 based setup.

Has anyone used NVIDIA nForce 430 Chipset or know if it works or not? Is it the same as NVIDIA nForce 4 Chipset? I have a Benq hooked up to it and Jungle Flasher is not recognizing it. Not sure if I did something wrong.

download CPU-Z and see what it lists for "southbridge" (that will be your chipset)

chances are it will not be compatible as most nvidia chipsets are not
