Yup i have tried on last version of JF it showed exact same corrupted drive properties....

I cant test on other pc at moment as i am at work and will be for a week...

I just wanted to see/know if others had seen or heard of anything like this before?????

One other thing i have via card it works perfect as does the on board sata, but for slim no use hence the x360usb pro......

Did you copy over the libusb0.dll into Jungleflasher's folder as instructed?

Have you any other SATA devices you can test this with (it should work with other SATA devices)?

Yes i followed the JF pdf and went over it again and again, I copied the libusb0.dll as per instruction.........

I have plenty of Sata devices i could try BUT, As i say i cant test nothing for a week.........

Note: Via card shows no "corruption" of drive properties at all, as does the on board Sata they both work as they should with all JF including the most recent..........

Only the x360usb pro is giving me problems.........

@frazzeld (http://team-xecuter.com/forums/member.php?u=149154) why should it matter which dash,???? it is a brand new out of the box slim never been online or played, only turned on to check working, dash is 2.0.12625.0

I asked because it wasn't previously asked and thought you may have updated to 13146 which may have caused the issue....but if you are saying that your via card picks up the drive properties as it should, are you using a different sata cable with the USB pro?

Martin C
24th June 11, 00:33
It could be the drive itself at fault here. If you had another (non-slim) drive at hand, you could check it with the DVD key you're getting from this one.

If the DVD key worked, I'd be tempted to erase and reflash and see if it gave a different response.

Like I said, no point until you have something else to test it with.

Try it with the drive tray half way in. See what it says then.

Tested diff sata cable and usb cable, no diff......

I doubt its the slim dvd drive, as the x360usb pro does the same with Benq and Fat Liteon, corrupted drive properties and does not read the firmware! The Fat drives are all recognised and read on the Via card!!!!!

Drive half tray method already tested no diff, same result....

I will test it in a clean build pc when i get home in a week, if there is other advice keep it coming maybe something i have missed???????????????

Have you put both USB cables on your USBpro? Your USB might not give it enough power.

Your 360 USB Pro has already got the latest firmware version 0.18, see if you can re-write/update the firmware again. Ideally I would have suggested re-writing the older firmware then updating it again but I don't think you can get the older firmware from somewhere!!!

This is a 6 month old motherboard i have checked spec the usb ports have enough power, i dont think hooking up added power would help here, just make matters worse......;)

As mentioned how to flash back to older firmware as its not available for download.....

Then try one of these drives on the x360USB ?

As i said above the fat drives are the same as the slim on the X360usb pro, corrupted drive properties and do not intro or read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I missed that earlier!

Not sure, but it is sounding like it might be an issue with the x360USB Pro itself.

How many USB ports do you have?

On that mobo i think there are 6 usb at the back, i have tried them all no diff.........I think most advice here i have covered, except for the, try a diff PC, which i will try when i get home, i have been leaning toward the X360usb pro as the prob but wanted to ask here in case there was something i had missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This isn't helpful. The OP knows how to flash his drive. Maybe read the thread before posting, eh?

you could try reflashing the fw of the x360USB Pro!
if it is still doing the same - try powering it using the aux cable you get with it.

loggan26
25th June 11, 21:54
Re-flashing the x360usb pro i have done this already, twice if i remember correctly, if there was the older firmware around for download i would try that, but the newest i have tried with the same result.........as for using Aux power cable, as i have already mentioned my usb ports supply more than enough power, reading the guides for x360usb pro......

(The extra AUX power cable provided with the X360USB PRO is only to be used if your USB ports do not output 500mA; 99% of computers operate at 500ma so it will be very rare to use this cable. Rule of thumb don't use it at all unless instructed otherwise)

Unless someone in the know has seen this specific problem and has used the above method to correct it, I don't think i will be going that route as i have enough problems with this device for now ;)

well try the aux just to rule it out

I had the same problem with my set up and I already suggested you try using the aux cable, but you state that your manual says it has enough power. Without trying it on another pc or using the aux cable you wouldnt know if your usbpro has a problem.

I would have to agree - looking at your output in JF, you've got excess noise so one of the components on the board could be to blame.

Contact your reseller for a replacement.

Could you reboot your computer with the device attaced to your motherboard/via card.

See what it reports as, in the BIOS.

Just wanted to add that i managed to get a replacement for the faulty x360usb pro, not the way i wanted to in the end but i did get a result, a little surprised at the response i got through email and here from certain users but that is fine, once bitten as they say. Just wanted to let others know that if they come across weird behaviour in their x360usb pro especially the corrupted drive properties then send it back its FAULTY dont waste weeks on it like i did.

hi, i had the same problem with my x360 usb pro (rev 18). I noticed that with my sata chipset i can extract the slimkey oh the 0225, but not with the x360usb pro. I have Windows XP installed. I tried after in my netbook with windows 7 starter and all works fine!!
