I follow stage 1.2.3 and have sata cable plugged in but my samsung ms28 don't show up in XBBC

before I flashed my drive I deleted file viamraid.sys should I put this file back?
so stage 1.2.3 work

You need to flash your drive with 0800 fw

There are different fw's

ixtreme 1.6
ixtreme 1.61 ( samsung & Benq only)
ixtreme 1.6 0800 (for ripping disc's)

now it works and copy games

I reflashed my second drive samsung ms28 from v1.61 to v1.6 0800 firmware

before I flashed my drive I deleted file viamraid.sys after flashing I put this file back again so my computer find my samsung drive

I updated the tute to add a bit more info and to clarify a couple of points

I'm trying xbc v2.9.0.306 and when i have my drive recognised in xp's device manager, but when i start xbc it shows message.. Action: Read DMI Sector, sense error: 5/30/02, UNKNOWN ERROR, CDB: READ DVD STRUCTURE, 0xAD 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 08 04 00 00, and i click ok and it starts, i select my drive at top and tick the options it shows and message box at bottom shows the drive's media info at 6.81gb but in the read tab i can't select any options, i can see start and cancel and image style but they not selectable, what am i doing wrong?

i flash my drive with the sammy 16 sam... 0800 and then i when to the manager and i dont see my sammy there help

Only problem so far is software said disc already appears to be unlocked..video will be filled and disc will not be stealth compatable??? whats that mean?

try loading xbox backup creator without the disc in. mine used to do that if i put the disc in before loading xbc. so i loaded it first then put the disc in and it was good.

Ok I can't seem to even get XBC running. When I click on

Xbox Backup Creator.exe I get the following error

Run-time error '339':

Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly regiestered: a file is missing or invalid

I found a copy of that file that the error was saying I was missing and dropped it in the same folder as xbc. Now XBC starts up fine but when I'm in device manager and put my liteon into vendor mode Windows XP SP3 (32bit) doesn't find it.

I'm using the blaster ck3 for the connection via sata
