Could a noob unlock and Flash a slim liteon 0225?
what would need to do it.?

Read Jungle Flasher thath would be probably first ^^ And doing Kamikaze if its WINBOND chip its not so easy stuff.

Yes and No.
Kamikaze - No Way!
TX PCB Replacement - ABSOLUTELY!!! Easiest and no soldering
Sputnik - depends if you ever soldered before. I would practice a lot. If you have to buy a new soldering iron and this is a one off just go with the TX PCB. It's the easiest and safest method

Have you opened your xbox up to see if you have a mxic or winbond? Do you already have the equipment needed?

if u want to unlock with kamikaze -> no way dont try it!

use tx pcbs very noob friendly. flashed many of them with any problems.

I agree with this. I just installed the pcb on my 0225 slim. Its not worth the chance.

^ also i am interested in this if i buy unlocked pcb what else do i need can i just use my via 6421 and sata to unlock or do i need to go about this like a lite on, (i flash reg benqs)

i recommend you get a usbpro for slim drives.as they are picky with sata.

Don't forget, even if you get the replacement pcb, there is still some soldering involved....

C'mon, you mean soldering the 5 colour power cables to pcb? my cat could do it eye blinded.

OK, jokes out, if you have 0 experience with soldering, you may first try on an old pcb, training and experiencing on how solder melts and works. Kids play.

I will not play with the old - original pcb because he will need it for future dashboard update.

For this kind of job first try to solder two wires together but try not to damage the isolation. When you will be capable to do this then solder 5 wires on the pcb will be difficult like you have to drink a glass of water.

Why you just can flash to stock on replacement PCB, update as usual and then flash to newest ixtreme again?

You suggesting you need original pcb? for what?

If you follow instructions and pay attention to what your doing you should be fine.
