How do i setup my hard drives for Jtag

    Hi

I have recently jtagged my console with help from this forum, its running freeboot

however i am struggling now with my hard drives setup.

    I have a 20gb MS drive and a 160gb USB drive.

I want to autorun Freestyle dash at boot not fussed what drive it runs from(if i have a choice)

I have got xexmenu running from a cd just now as i was trying to use that to install Xexmenu to HD so i could install freestyle dash.

I have searched the forums and others but its a bit confusing on what to do.

    the guide for xexmenu said
LIVE) Copy the C0DE9999 folder to
    HDD1:/Partition3/Content/0000000000000000/
I take this to mean the folder called code9999 should be copied to the MS (HDD1drive in folder called /0000000000000000 which is a sub folder of /Content which is a sub folder of a parent folder called /Partition3
i used the xexmenu disk to create these folders on HDD1: and copied the CODE9999 folder as instructed, but when i go to the freeboot dash i cant see the listing as it said it should be listed in the games library.

Does the partition3 reference to a actual folder or a actual partition on the MS drive

am i doing it all wrong ?

    any help appreciated.

    thanks

i personally install freestyle onto my usb drive. put xexmenu onto the m$ hdd using xplorer360 and the xecuter hdd adaptor, in the partition 3/content/000000000 folder, you just drop the code9999 folder into there. then use xexmenu to install everything else. as for booting into freestyle its not quite the same when using freeboot. you dont need to mess with the patches. check this out. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topi...eestyle-dash/?

ive had a read and its virtually the same as what modmonster pointed you to on here but this is aimed at freeboot users.

Re: How do i setup my hard drives for Jtag

thanks again guys once again your invaluable advice sorts me out.

now have freestyle installed using the method in the link

I wasnt sure about the patching and compiling of freeboot part, out of curiosity does this mean it wanted to add the hack to the freeboot image then rewrite it back to nand or was it injecting the patch as freeboot loaded ?

I used the older method of launch.ini andlaunch.xex and this worked for me

I even managed to get my first game copied to HD, now the fun begins.

    Thanks once again
