BASIC/INFORMATIONAL QUESTIONS:

Q: What is the XECUTER X360USB PRO?

A: The XECUTER X360USB PRO is a special SATA to USB Adapter and is the only one of its kind. No other SATA to USB adapter will read and write formware to all Xbox 360 DVD drives and also all Xbox 360 Hard Drives. This is a one of a kind.
It completely replaces all SATA Chipsets/Cards needed and squashes all compatibility issues.
An explanation as to why other SATA to USB Adapters do not work is because all other SATA to USB Adapters DO NOT have the portio drivers built into it that the majority of xbox drives use. All other USB to SATA Adapters only have WinAPI drivers built in, while X360USB PRO has BOTH WinAPI and Portio built in, making it very unique and special!

Q: If I have a SATA Card, do I need the X360USB PRO?

A:You don't NEED it, but it is recommended, especially with newer Slim models.
With SATA Chipsets/Cards, there are many issues (Driver problems, Lite-on Erase, Laptops that don't have PCI slots)
Well the X360USB PRO completely fixes all those problems! No longer will you have to remove the drivers, and even better, you can flash on the go since you can plug it into a laptop!

Q: How do I power the drive? Does it power the drive? I heard Xecuter was going to put a built in power supply?

A: Currently, the best way to power the drive is from a CK3 power device (CK3i and CK3 Mini are the latest devices on the market). Do not get confused, the X360USB PRO does not power the drive! It is recommended to purchase a CK3i or CK3 Mini.

Xecuter have said that they will design an all in one version when they release v2 of the X360USB PRO coming Q1 2012.

Q: What drives are supported?

A: Currently, all FAT & Slim XBOX drives are supported.

Q: Can the X360USB PRO allow me to use unofficial 2.5" HDD on the xbox?

A: Yes, it can!
This feature is relatively new (Released on April 22nd) and currently only supports hacking Western Digital harddrives to be used, but support for more types of drives will be added!

Q: Can the X360USB PRO be used to rip games?

A: YES!
The X360USB PRO is actually quite fast at ripping games too, clocking in at ~10-12 minutes per game!

Q: Is the X360USB PRO fast or slow?

Quite fast, actually! Team Xecuter had posted speed tests, HERE or you can view the results below.

Q: Can the X360USB PRO unbrick my Samsung or BenQ drive?

A:Yes, it can! Unbricking is actually built in into the X360USB PRO. There may be very rare instances where a Samsung cannot be unbricked with the X360USB PRO alone but you can use the Probe 3 to easily assist in unbricking the drive. All Benq's can be unbricked with just the X360USB PRO.

Q: Does the X360USB PRO bypass MRA hack?

A:No, it does not.
The CK3 Probe III, or PMT does bypass the MRA hack, though. The X360USB PRO itself DOES NOT.

Q: What is "libusb"?

A: Ubergeek has explained it HERE.

OR here is a copy and paste of what he said:

The new versions of JF require that the libusb.dll library is installed.

When you install the X360USB PRO this is installed automatically - so make sure you set those drivers up first before using JF and everything will run smoothly.

If you are using X360USB PRO DO NOT copy the libusb0.dll file that is included in a sub directory of JF to the main JF folder as this will cause system instability.

Rule of thumb: If you use JF and you get no libusb.dll errors then your system already has it pre-installed and you are good to go.

Q: What is a Molex power supply? Where can I buy one?

A:Molex is a power source, usually used in electronics, and is the way to power the CK3 Lite/Pro.
Currently, you can either open up the PC and look for an unused Molex Cable, or you can buy an external Molex Power supply from many TX Retailers.

If you ordered the caseless version of the X360USB PRO, then you *should* get a free case from the reseller (shipping charges may apply though) The caseless version will come with a sticky foam pad, similar to the one supplied with the CK3 PRO.

Q: What does the X360USB PRO come with?

Q: What is this "AUX Power" cable you said the X360USB PRO comes with?

A: Ubergeek has explained what it is:

The X360USB PRO comes with an AUX Power cable. Your X360USB PRO will function with no problems on 99% of USB ports as they have a 500ma output. A tiny amount of USB ports only carry 100ma. The AUX Power is supplied as a worst case scenario for those instances (you would plug it into a USB capable power supply unit such as the iPod's power brick).

This is NOT to be used unless it is required. DO NOT use the AUX Power cable if your computer supports 500ma as you may cause damage to your X360USB PRO. The best way to test is it just set everything up to see if drivers install, jungle flasher detects the drive etc.

Q: Will this need certain drivers?

A:Yes, there are drivers for the x360USB PRO, which can be downloaded HERE.

Q: WHY IS MY RESELLER NOT SHIPPING MY PRODUCT? IT JUST SAYS "PROCESSING"?!

A: All resellers are shipping out X360USB PROs everyday, the demand was extremely high, so all orders are done in order that they received the payment, so if you ordered yours late, yours will be shipped out later, but soon enough, most resellers should have ready stock to be shipped out to new orders.

The X360USB PRO can not only be used to connect xbox drives, it can also be used to connect HDD that use SATA ports. ANOTHER thing is that It can be used on MacOSX!! Even though there is no flashing software on the MacOSX, you can connect HDD and such. (More info HERE.) - However there is an issue with Xbox 360 HDD's - the security bit is being flagged (If you get E69 - An extremely easy 15 second fix was posted HERE.)

Q: What is the ON/OFF Switch for?! What do I keep it on?

A: The ON/OFF switch is to enable/disable bootloader mode.
When bootloader mode is enabled (Switch is on "ON"), Jungleflasher will NOT recognize the X360USB PRO.
The bootloader mode is used for updating the firmware, and unless you are needing the bootloader mode, KEEP THE SWITCH ON OFF! Many people ask why Jungleflasher does not recognize the X360USB PRO, and this is why!

So again, unless updating, keep the switch on "OFF".

Q: How do we update the firmware on the X360USB PRO What is the current version for the X360USB PRO?

A: You must first download the firmware and firmware update tool from the X360USB PRO download section on 360mods.

Then simply open the update tool, and either go to the help section for instructions, or view the screenshot below of the help section

Q: Jungleflasher says that "Portio**.sys" isn't installed. What do I do?!

A: Normally, you would have to go through a long process, of disabling, and such, but TX got us covered with USB PRO!
All you have to do which in Jungleflasher, tick "USB Only" and you are set!
No more dumb test mode/Disable Enforcement bullshit!

Q: Jungleflasher doesn't recognize the X360USB PRO! What do I do?!

A:Make sure these things:

• On the X360USB PRO, the ON/OFF Switch is on "OFF".
• Make sure you have the latest drivers on your computer for the X360USB PRO.
• Make sure the X360USB PRO has the latest firmware.
• Make sure you run Jungleflasher as Admin.
• Try switching USB Ports.
• If the above doesn't work, try rebooting, reinstalling the drivers.

Q: How do I use this thing to flash my drive/Rip a game?

Ubergeek was nice enough to release guides for ALL of the xbox drives (Excluding writing 0225 and Slim 0500/0401) and ripping games, they are accessible HERE or HERE.

Q: Can the X360USB PRO spoof a drive?

YOU CANNOT, REPEAT, CANNOT SPOOF A DRIVE ANYMORE. IT IS DETECTABLE, AND ALL AP2.5 GAMES WILL NOT WORK IF YOUR DRIVE IS SPOOFED!

A:Currently, all FAT XBOX drives are supported. As for the slim, the 9504 drive is supported. You can still connect the 0225 and 0500 but no information has been released whether separate equipment will be needed to read/write onto the 2 drives.
The 0225 can be read though not written to.

Hey guys, I have read as much as I could on the usb360pro, and have a couple of questions.

I have a new xbox 360 slim coming to me fed ex. I am assuming that it will have a new version drive in it. I have ordered the usbpro.

my questions are:

1.Will I have to use a ck3 lite for anything but powering the dvd drive. I know it was used to retrieve the key from older drives.

2. If the ck3 is only for powering the dvd drive, and everything else is done with the usb360pro and jungle flasher, can i instead just use a stand alone power supply on the dvd drive?

I am assuming it will have one of the new drives in it that have not been accessed until the 360usbpro When you watch the Jungle Flasher video of the slim, it shows retrieval of the key thru the JF software. I thought that with the release of the 360usbpro, it would remove the use of a probe to get the key off any drive?

Could you tell me if there is one resource I could veiw that someone has put together that tells you what parts are needed to access specific drives. I searched and searched, and you get ten different answers on ten different sites. It would be a nice sticky to put up on the top page.

Yes, that is what you will need if you have a 9504 drive.

For 0225 you can read the drive, but you need a X360USBPRO, but no write solution has been annouced.

For 0500, no information at all, wehave no idea if you need or don't need something special to read/write the firmware. I hope that answers your question.

and Yes, CK3 like, USBPRO, and Power supply are enough to flash almost all drives. If you want to flash any of the phat lite-on drives (7, 8v2 and 9 series) then you will need the Probe 3.
