Flash LiteOn 02510c by Laptop USB port
I have an Xbox 360 with a LiteOn 74850c but after the new dashboard update, the firmware of my liteon is 02510c, and my question is:
I have a latptop HP dv5000 from 2005, Windows XP Sp3 and I want to know, if with the new firmware ¿Can I flash the firmware of my liteon 02510c using the Blaster CK3 and the USB port of my laptop? ¿Doesn't matter what kind of model or brand laptop use it with the Blaster CK3 and USB port to flash my liteon?
I know that exist the X360USB Pro, but for me it's ok the Blaster CK3.
In the blaster CK3 description says this "The Xecuter Blaster CK3 is an external switching device when, once fitted, allows you to flash your DVD Firmware without ever having to open up your Xbox 360 case ever again." Obviously once you have dump the original firmware and all the files that we need to flash the firmware of the dvd drive with the ck3 probe 3.
sorry my english, Im from Chile

No - you cannot flash any drives through the USB port on the CK3 Blaster. Read the tutorial for it:

Console modifications/repairs/RRoD etc.

Re: Flash LiteOn 02510c by Laptop USB port
Are you sure that I can't, because in the blaster CK3 description says this "The Xecuter Blaster CK3 is an external switching device when, once fitted, allows you to flash your DVD Firmware without ever having to open up your Xbox 360 case ever again."
So my question is still pending.

Re: Flash LiteOn 02510c by Laptop USB port
if you did not have a com port on your computer u would use the usb for extracting the key from your lite-on 74850c but with the 02510c you dont need the usb or com method to get the key you can use the pmt method to get the key...
to flash the drive you use the sata port on the ck3 blaster

Re: Flash LiteOn 02510c by Laptop USB port
So you say I can only use the sata port to flash the drive and I can't do it using the USB port?...
So way says this in the tutorial of the Blaster CK3 "When you want to write to your DVD drive simply push the main switch to PC and turn the power switch to ON (The Mode switch can be set to OFF – you can set Modeb via software on all Hitachi models using the latest Jungle Flasher – we have included a Modeb switch just in case someone requires it). Then connect the Xbox 360 power supply unit and you can now connect your Xbox to your PC using a Sata cable. You can use the Serial RS232 or the USB ports if you have the Liteon 74850C DVD drive. Otherwise you only need to use the Sata port."
I had a liteon 74850c but after the new dashboard update I have a liteon 02510c.

Re: Flash LiteOn 02510c by Laptop USB port
the serial rs232 and the usb port is for extracting the key.bin, dummy.bin, serial.bin, and inquiry.bin. not for acually writing to the drive it uses sata port for that so you would need usb pro to go from sata to usb to flash a drive with the ck3 blaster to usb. so it would be ck3 blaster sata to sata port on usb pro the usb port from that to usb on your computer
