xDrive with xFan addon not working as it should
I received my xDrive with the xFan add-on today.
I used the PDF linked in one of the stickies here in the forum to install everything (xDrive_Plus_install.pdf).
When i power on my xbox, the center led flashes immediately, like the drive is about to eject. To make it stop i have to eject the drive (in the xdrive) and close the drive again. I can use the drive as usual after doing so.
I have checked and rechecked my installation several times. I cant find anything wrong the wires. I have connected the drive directly to the xbox just to get the drive out of the equation and it works as it should.
Any suggestions?

So.. seems to be something wrong with the unit then... i will try to get a replacement from the store... I'm quite disappointed. Not what i was expecting from a TX-product. Seems like a few other is having problems with xDrive too.. unanswered questions in this part of the forum.

Might I ask where you are getting your products from?

Re: xDrive with xFan addon not working as it should
I dont know about these fellows but i am having a similar issue and i got it from acid mods. The guy called today acting like i was an idiot and i explained to him the issue and he still acted like i was the problem. I will give them credit they are shipping me a new unit asap, but he said they were quality checked two times before they were sent out. I doubt it. I think this is an awesome concept just a little disappointed in the quality you are getting for the money spent. I will update as soon as the new unit gets here and let you know how it goes.

You will find the odd one is faulty from a batch, but there is always your warranty so be confident in that.
What I have found is some users are being a little too heavy handed with the cables - saying that i will mention to Xecuter that the design probably needs firming up a little around a couple of the connectors.
Ive used one myself on an old overheating jtag machine and it still works flawlessly.YOU SHOULD ALWAYS REVERT TO STOCK FW BEFORE ANY MAJOR UPDATE - ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS !!

Re: xDrive with xFan addon not working as it should
This problem is caused by the black cable not making a proper connection to the little adhesiv junction board...When i power on my xbox, the center led flashes immediately, like the drive is about to eject. To make it stop i have to eject the drive (in the xdrive) and close the drive again. I can use the drive as usual after doing so.
I know it's an old topic but it might help others who stumble across it...

Re: xDrive with xFan addon not working as it should
I take my last comment back, mine was working fine for a couple of weeks & then it started doing it again...
I hooked the drive directly to the mobo missing out all the stuff in-between using Ck3 socket to power & eject the drive & its still giving me the green flashing eject button.... my problem must be with the drive's external housing...
I've replaced a couple of the little plugs & trimmed a couple of little bits on the external housing in my quest to getting this thing to run properly, I don't think Ck3.co.uk would honour the warranty because of this
anybody else got any ideas?...
