Re: HOW and WHY to Solder Correctly
Good video for start.
I would like to mantion that is also a big difference between irons.
If you like to make some good work buy a good iron and appropriate tips for the work you have to made. I use Weller for almost 15 years but I will suggest also Ersa. This two are the best for me for what I try.

Re: HOW and WHY to Solder Correctly
i didnt do soldering at all but this video taught me alot, infact ive started soldering wires to old motherboards for practice.
yea things didnt go well or look good on the first few goes and i didnt expect it to, but im starting to get the hang of things and my soldering is starting to look tidy and im getting abit quicker at each attempt i do.
thanks for the post, not only has it educated me its got me involved in something new

Re: HOW and WHY to Solder Correctly
I most say, my soldering improved some after watching this video, For desoldering I use flux and desoldering braid.

Re: HOW and WHY to Solder Correctly
hey guys ,thanks for the informative video.if I have a really dusty motherboard in hand, how should I clean it before the soldering job.
If I clean it with a damp cloth would it cause the board to rust,or would it ruin any components.what should I do to clean dust without damaging the components.
and would applying too much flux render some components useless, should we clean it after the soldering is completed,if we do not clean the flux afterwards any possibility of a negative outcome?
too many questions.sorryLast edited by pudinkk; 4th March 12 at 23:01.
