Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
Just get a pro to do it. By the time you invest in the equipment needed you'll spend more than a pro on this site would charge most of the time. Plus if you screw it up, which if you look on the forums is happening to some experiened modders it will cost you youre xbox as well.

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
Look here. http://team-xecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=150
Martin C is a good bet at 40 quid. With postge by parcel monkey it comes out under 60.
DIY costs more
Coolrunner 15
Nand x 27
Cables about 6
CK3i to program coolrunner 25
Soldering iron blah blah
Plus your postage
I reckon DIY if you start without any kit costs around 90 quid
If you're in France I can do it for you but I reckon you're in UK
Any of the stickies in the forum i linked to can be trusted to do a good job at a good price

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
I looked in to doing it myself and it simply isn't something you should even think of trying unless you are experienced and pretty highly skilled even then judging by the coolrunner threads it isn't a given that you would be able to get it right first time.
As others have said just give it to a pro and enjoy the results.
Diaboliq20 is from Scotland and doing a really good deal at the moment on RGH's.

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
If your questioning your ablities to do this task than it would be cheaper to pay a experienced individual like said before Martin C. I myself have experience in soldering circuitry and had a little boo boo that I had to fix "gave me a bit of a scare". Some of these points are extremely small to the point you'll need a magnifying glass and I had to modify my iron to a really fine point to get the job done properly, so its your take just make it a smart one.

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
Definately get someone of experience to do this for you, its too easy to mess up even after getting all the correct kit. If you have to pay on top for a repair...it'll be pricey

Nothing wrong in wanting to learn...but I wouldn't want to risk my xbox in the process best bet by far is to let someone with prior knowledge and experience do the job for you then read up on the subject more so u have a better understanding of how it all works and what it entails

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
I must admit there is a great feeling of achievement in doing your first jtag or rgh. But if you have no experience in soldering your new xbox 360 slim isnt the best place to start prodding around with a soldering iron.
My advice would be to either get a pro to do it or if you are hell bent on doing it yourself, get some soldering practice done on something like this
http://www.maplin.co.uk/fm-radio-kit-220062 or something similar.
Cuz if you mess this up xbox modding aint for you and your xbox is still in good nick for someone els to do it for you.Last edited by actiondanuk; 29th January 12 at 10:51.

Re: wHAT DO I NEED TO DO rgh ON MY SLIM - I AM NOT CLUED UP ABOUT THIS
Yeah I must admit doing the job with a walmart soldering iron and no experience like when i started out would have ended up bad if it was on a slim
But still I have more fun looking at my customized box knowing i did it than actually playing it sometimes
Especially my 3.5 hdd in the center of the console i love that the most
