How do I read the OFW from stock slim?

How do I read the OFW from a 0225 stock slim? Do I need to do anything special to do this or is it similar to getting the key?

The files you get from a DG-16D4S are:

Key.bin
Serial.bin
Dummy.bin
Identify.bin
Inquiry.bin

You will get these files as long as you don't have "Dummy.bin Only" checked on Jungleflasher. There are various way to extract the files from your drive. There's a tutorial here that shows exact the method used by tx...

Thanks. I know how to get these files. I was just getting the Dummy.bin file and was wondering why I wasn't getting the other files. Yup, I had checked Dummy.bin Only.

I am actually asking how to read the OFW (Original FirmWare) from the drive so I can get an OFW.bin file (stock firmware).

To get full firmware you need to unlock it.

LoL.. Got ya.. Sorry. Unlocking is a whole other issue. I didn't bother doing that, I just got the tx unlocked pcb instead.. 2 of them for that matter.

If you really want an ofw. Load the ofw as target hit manual spoof and add your key in.

I know there is stock firmware in the firmware pack. I just want to get my original.

So if I want to get the OFW from the drive do I have to install a SPUTNIK360 switch first (I have the original DVD PCB with Mediatek MXIC chip still in the drive. I also have a SPUTNIK360 switch but it is not installed.) to unlock it. I thought this was just to write firmware. Or do you mean just press Slim Unlock and then press Read in JF under MTK Flash 32.

I just wanted to make sure I did everything I could before I did anything to the drive that might cause a problem. So what is the procedure to read the OFW?

I think I figured it out from the JF tut.
Install the SPUTNIK360 switch.
Run JF.
MTK Flash 32 > Intro / Device ID > Yes > Cycle DVD power > SPI Status Button > Yes >
SPUTNIK360 switch to unlock > Check for Dual-Tone Beep > Sputnik360 switch to lock >
Read > Yes > Cycle DVD power > Save OFW > Intro / Device ID > Yes > Cycle DVD power >
Press SPI Status Button > OK > Check for 0x8C status > OUTRO / ATA Reset > OUTRO / ATA Reset

I could wait to do this when we get the LT 3.0 firmware for 0225 slims and I write the firmware.

Tried it and it worked great. Cool. Now just waiting for LT 3.0.
