cant get the key

so after my first drive died while trying to get the key from it i fried him
i bougth a new drive
but now when im trying to getout the key every time i get an error ive tried some mthods and none seems to work -
i am allways geting the fail key ext.. after im trying to power cycle
im useing a ck3L + probe3 my xbox is fat jesper

did you get your dummy bin of your old drive before it fried because you will need it,so you can flash it to the replacement drive,look here Liteon DG-16D2S 74850C if you cant get your dummy bin of your fried drive you will need to send it to someone like teajunkie

Are you actually trying to get the key off the new drive? If so you're mistaken. Either it's second hand and has a key that relates to someone elses console, not your's; or it's shipped blank if it's new; and thus has no firmware or key on it anyway.

As the above ^poster says you have to get the key off your old drive and inject it to the new one. If you can't do this either send the drive to someone who can or you can RGH the console dependant on type of console and the dash it's on to get the correct drive key.

so i cant do anything about it ?
my old drive does not apper in my pc when it connected so i heve no accses to him

If the old pcb is completely dead then your only hope would be if you had saved the key from a prior dump.. Or rgh..

how exactly did you fry your old drive? power in upside down?

I had a few Phats stock fried which have also fried x360usbs on me..

there might be a chance you could get your key off the 'dead' drive, have a look at these two threads:

yep, just remove the fuse and bridge the points. thats what i always do. works fine.

i dont know how i fired it
i hookd it in the correct why - green up
the only thing that might been wrong is that i maybe tuch the PCB with power on
the board seems to be ok but the big cheep is geting to hot for an electronic

Now you spoof it into your replacement drive with your desired firmware, stock or LT3.0.

What format have you got your key in? Just the key on it's own or the whole dummy.bin extract?

all from the orignel drive [the one that "died"]

look ive got the correct files i just dont know how to transfer them to the new drive
by the why if i flash the new drive then i need to update him ? so the flash will be removed ?

Load the dummy.bin as the source firmware, providing the old drive was updated to 0251 then it should automatically auto prompt you to load LT3.0. If not then load 0251 LT3.0 as the target firmware manually.

Next, go to the MTK tab and press the liteon erase, press yes to the warning prompts and then power cycle the drive.

If all goes well your drive should be in vendor mode now, if so then press write and let JF do it's business. Once completed press outro and it's all done.
