If you havent had a jrp v1, remove nand-x drivers and install the jrp with drivers in JRunner folder - otherwise you may find issues arising. Nand-x will work with those drivers also

    Re: J-R Programmer V2 Drivers

    Hi,

I'm in the same boat and can't install JRP2. When I plug the JRP2 into my computer, it shows up as 'USB input device'. When I try to install a driver in the jrunner driver directory, I get an error. BTW, I'm running Win7 64bit.

Also, I can't seem to find a basic manual on the JRP2 on this site. Like... it would be nice to know what the switches do.

Check that the white switch is set away from the "JP-BL" text.

    Hi,

Thank you for the response. I do have NAND-X and I have seen the link before. I uninstalled the drivers and files from Windows Device Manager and manually deleted the 3 files from the Windows directory. Still says USB input device when I plug JRP2 in my computer.

    One more thing...

While my computer doesn't see the JRP2, I see this in J-Runner:

    Bootloader Attached
    Bootloader Version: 1.0.5

Am I supposed to flash the device first? I flashed it with PICFLASH_E_1_0_4.HEX with the same results.

use the one thats named PICFLASH_E_1_0_5-JRP-V2.HEX.
once programmed, press reset switch if Red LED is still lit, move update switch other way and reset again

That did the trick. PICFLASH_E_1_0_5-JRP-V2.HEX wasn't in the driver directory as I had the (284) build. I I downloaded the (287) package and it was there. Thanks!

One more question if you don't mind. I've been googling for the JP-3 switch does. Do you know?

    Re: J-R Programmer V2 Drivers

yeah if you have the programming wires connected to a CR, forget to have console powered it will power the nand through JRP - not recommended ! so its there to cut the voltage through the JRP - CR - Nand (so if you are struggling to program a CR - check that switch)

Also - you will need 287 for Rater anyway! - always update!
