    Jtag Alternate Points

9/8/2010 Added 12v single wire fan mod

    9/6/2010 Added J2B1 Alt Points

8/12/2010 Added J2D2 Alt Rebuild Points

7/18/2010 Added J1D2 rebuild Actual pic of Rebuild

    7/10/2010 Added J1D2 rebuild

ok so seems people are messing up either the qsb or the actual point on their motherboards.

so instead of keep adding it to the install post i though it would be best to start it's own tread were people can request them without cluttering up the actual install tread more then it already is sorry if the pics are not perfect you have no idea how hard it is to snap shots if these.

now i have repaired a lot of messed up jtag from people getting aggravated and just grabbing the wires and literally ripping the barrel right off the board to simple a single pad fix. and never thought to take pics so we will just add them as we need to

    so lets start

    NAND-X Programmer Side

    J2D2 Switch Alt Points

    J2B1 Alt Points

    J1D2
pretty self explanatory you can clearly see the traces

Sorry out of the jtag qsb's so will have to wait till i can get some for pinout of them

    Zephyr and Up Motherboards

alt point to DB1F1 bottom side

pay attention to the RED CIRCLES you can use any one of them or solder right to the trace itself

    Xenon Boards J1D2 Rebuild

if you messed up J1D2.3 the trace marked in black i would highly recommend you take it to a solder expert

J1D2 Bottom J1D2.7 maroon trace solder to any ground point

    Actual Rebuilt Header Bottom Side

    Top Side

    J2D2 ALT POINTS

J2B1 Alt Points Again not points for the average person to solder to

Single wire 12v fan mod this forces both the GPU & CPU fans to run 12v

ok here are pics of the motherboards with the wire actually soldered in place

1st pic is a xenon mobo

this is a zephyr and up motherboard with wire soldered in place notice the center leg on the mosfet is missing that's when u have to use the below method

room For More to be added in the future

now i'm only 1 person so when you request please give me time to reply might take 10 min might take a day just please be patient

I screwed up the yellow solder point on mine. So I can just make a small wire, and solder it to point and then to the leg and be okay? Does size of wire matter? (thickness & length)

    thanks

I posted some pics about it in this thread: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showt...396#post281396

so from the looks of that picture i can run jumper wires from the LPC port on the xbox motherboard to the indicated location on the quick solder board as well as directly solder the resistor wires (red and yellow) to the LPC port on the mother board and everything should work the same? (switches jumpers ect.)

only reason im looking into this is because the wire install seemed to work so much better for me as i lifted some traces on accident on the QSB's how ever i would like to comment that is so seems the traces and LPC pads on the 360 seem to be WAY more forgiving than the ones on the xbox 1 (for those that recall them) so ive been trying to stick with my tined wire and connect method (cuz ya i seem to be screwing up these QSB's) as well as the fact i bought a used NAND-X and it seems some of the traces/pads were damaged from removal

you always can try to soder to the buswave itself. Though from the looks of your sodering job I doubt you can do that.

    Re: Jtag Alternate Points

lol it was pritty bad soldering ive done quite a few jtag's since i did these, and im not to bothered if i do any more damage to these 2 as they are only spare boards,
it did'nt help that i was using a temp controlled iron that would only work on max temp,
ive bought a new 1 since then so it should be ok.
do you have a pic of the buswave ?

    Re: Jtag Alternate Points

look at the points. You seen very tiny lines running to the point on the underside of the board. Those are the bus waves lol.

    Re: Jtag Alternate Points

so that's the only soldering needed to be done to 12v fans?

are those two points bridged? then connected to the point below?

Do the J2D2 ALT POINTS work on the Xenon Motherboard? I have Jtagged 3 Xenon's with the standard Jtag connections but this one red rings or e-79's every attempt. I have confirmed that it has an exploitable CB.

    Re: Jtag Alternate Points

So i had a customer bring a jtagged board that had RROD i performed a reflow his wiring came loose so i redid it and it worked fine. His points were fubar so i used the alternates. He used it for a wk and said he kept getting e79 i told him he needed the smc aud wiring. He did it himself and now gets e79 all the time.

He brought it to me, and i took out all his wiring and did the boxxdr method, which i have done multiple times i cannot get it to detect flash controller. I removed the nand x wires several times and even tried a different set but still no worky. Restarted PC but nothing, i have the power connected with ROL. Looked under the board cleaned up some crap and still nothing, e79 upon boot.

I have done this several times, so im pretty familiar but not as familiar as you all may be since i do reballs and such MOSTLY

would a J1D2 rebuild help? how do i know if its the jtag wiring or the nand wiring that is damaged?

do you have the J1D2 rebuild for zephyrs and higher, i found pics for xenon?

nothing looks obviously damaged except for the DB1F1 but im using the smc alternates anywho from this tutorial http://www.boxxdr.com/boxxdrjtag.html
