Its still in (very early) beta stage... Like all beta products, it all depends on the circumstances.

Crimson, BestBuy is the place that I've found that were you can get more than 15 on a spindle. If you don't mind waiting, online might be a way.

Can I ask what your exact method of backing up games is? I have a Hitachi v47 as well will the Garyopa fw, but I can't get my Xbox 360 to recognize the backups (I get the "put this disc in an Xbox360 console" sceen).

Be specific if you can, Thanks!

Ok i have purchased a 2 pack of the sony DL discs and they worked as if the game was an original, but all i could find was a 2 pack. I called everywhere and all they sell are 2 packs, and now no one carrys them what the hell is wrong with this world. All i want is a 25 pack of these burnable marvels and guess what they dont exist.

Re: BestCheapest place to find dvd+dl media

I recently purchased some verbatims at future shop. Spindle of 20 for $24.99. They were regularly 60 bucks. Got the last 2 spindles at my local store. But I also have had alot of success with the Fujis too. They are normally $19.99 for a spindle of 15 discs. Not too bad for immediate gratification and not having to wait for online orders.

Re: BestCheapest place to find dvd+dl media

I recently purchased memorex DVD+RL at my local "Staples". I paid $32.00 for 15 on a spindle. I have burned 5 backups and made only 1 coaster(probably my mistake). I am using a TS H352C With Kreon v081( PC reads it as TSST DVD-ROM SHD162C)to read and a Lite-on DVD-RW SHW-160P6S to burn using XBC v2.3. I don't know where to change the "BOOKTYPE" to DVD-ROM. Do I really need to??
I have flashed a samsung ms-28 with xtreme v42b, and so far they all have worked. I am planning on flashing an older Hitachi v047DJ.

Will this setup still work for the Hitachi??

*Note* I bought my TS-H352C from EBAY. they even included the firmware!! :-)

PS Kudos to Textbook for the most excellent Tuts!!!!!!

I have the same exact drive, and when used with Verbatim media, it works great. I would suggest setting a permanent bitsetting to DVD-ROM for all DVD+R and DVD+R DL discs. Follow the latest tutorial for bitsetting using IMGBurn and use the EEPROM setting to make it permanent.

In case no one noticed in this weeks ad.

Best Buy has 20pk of Verbatim DL for $29.99 after instant savings. A few dollars more then Shop4Tech but no shipping cost and same day gradification.

    Squeeky
