If i was you i would install Evox Dashboard first, then have a link from Evox Dash to the Nexgen dashboard. :) (remember neXgen is in its early stages)

The best way I found is via PC/F T P as you have alot more control, first things first MAKE sure you DO a Full Backup Via F T P of your Xbox "C Drive" and "E Drive". (then you will always be able to return to original settings)
As you have an OLD Xecuter Rename the M$ dash from Xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash upload the Evox Dash and rename from Evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe..
(Xecuter2 chips allow you to just upload the Evox.xbe and Nexgen.xbe without renaming to xboxdash.xbe as it searches for those automatically)

!!Please Do read around the forums for a full description this is just basic advice..

Is it legal.. not sure, i guess as long as your only backing up Original Games that you have paid for this should not be a problem.. Ask Bill G

this is all i can find mate

    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=1&CatID=1180&SubCatID =143

if you read the specs you will see your chipset coverd by this.

b.t.w do not be confused between RAID and SATA

    SATA is the connection

RAID is the setup used for harddrives connected to SATA

In computing, the acronym RAID (originally redundant array of inexpensive disks, now also known as redundant array of independent disks) refers to a data storage scheme using multiple hard drives to share or replicate data among the drives. Depending on the configuration of the RAID (typically referred to as the RAID level), the benefit of RAID is to increase data integrity, fault-tolerance, throughput or capacity, compared to single drives. In its original implementations, its key advantage was the ability to combine multiple low-cost devices using older technology into an array that offered greater capacity, reliability, speed, or a combination of these things, than was affordably available in a single device using the newest technology.

thanks, I've been confused about the difference

So question, is it possible for my SATAs on the motherboard to just be for Hard Drive connections, because on the system setup is says...

    Primary SATA Hard Drive
    Secondary SATA Hard Drive

And, none of my Hard Drives are connected to it.

Re: which sata drivers to update to?

then your harddrives are ATA not SATA but if you have SATA connections on your motherboard then you should have access via the BIOS
