Scratching my head to get this to work with Hitachi 47DJ
I've got the pro version of the Connectivity Kit 3.
I have the molex fitted to this device and powered up. I have the green cables going to the x-box 360 drive. I have a mini usb to my PC. This is where I get stuck ... Because windows doesnt see an extra drive. I've tried running the iextreme 1.4 and the ck3_tool_v1.0 but nothing can see the drive. I've followed the instructions. Ive done all sorts of mode B / switch off / switch on combinations and nothing. Anyone got any ideas?
If a bird can fly, can a fly bird?

Re: Scratching my head to get this to work with Hitachi 47DJ
OK, first of all, the mini usb only works for lite-on drives.
You need to connect the green cable from your drive to the CK3 then connect the molex to the CK3. Then connect a sata cable from the drive to a sata port on your computer. Then use the mode b switch to put the drive into mode b. Power up your computer. The computer should then be able to see the drive and you should be able to use firmware toolbox to dump and flash your drive. Make sure that when you do get a dump of the drive, check the key to make sure that its valid. It should look like 32 random characters and numbers, not all of one character or number. If it is all one character or number or alot of one kind, try dumping the drive again several times to make sure that the key you get is good.

I thought the instructions for Hitachi 047 were amazingly clear. So im very confused why you are trying to connect the CK3 Mini USB when that is mentioned no where in the Hitachi tutorial ???
Follow the easy tutorial AGAIN ![]() http://team-xecuter.com/ck3/hitachi_pre07.htm PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ON THESE FORUMS

Re: Scratching my head to get this to work with Hitachi 47DJ
I wrongly assumed, that because I saw the USB port, that that would allow me to connect it direct to the PC.
It might be a good idea to show the pro / light pictures - indicating what the ports are used for ... I've flashed my drive now, went hunting for the USB / Sata drive guys you released.

The tutorial tells you to use a sata card or the X360 USB - it even shows pictures of these !
The tutorials are perfect - you are the first of thousands to question the use of the USB port ![]() In future just follow a tutorial correctly - never assume ![]() Oh and here is the pictures of both the Lite and Pro showing what all the ports are used for - they were there all along heh ![]() http://team-xecuter.com/ck3/features.htm PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ON THESE FORUMS
