    fixing SSv1 to SSv2 w/ XBC & ABGX.

    this only would apply to Wave 3+ games.
    Wave 1 & 2 SSv1
    Wave 3 + SSv2

    "According to C4eva there was a slight change in the angles after wave 3. His guess was to catch Kreons. The angles on Wave 1 and 2 will work with SSv1 because they are pressed that way. No way M$ can change that.

    An you'll Probably ask: Why does a wave 2 or 1 still rip with SSv2 when ripped with a 360 drive then?

    Simple:because the angles were checked multiple times for accuracy which is how you get SS v2. They will be identical to the angles for SS v1 though."

    pretty simple and never really thought bout it. but was curious, as xbox 360 drives are SSv2 but there are SSv1 out there past wave 3. wanted to fix them so here it is for everyone.

    1. Load your iso in your DL dvd burner, run ABGX( as you can see i am using Final Fantasy with a SSV1)and check for XEX CRC info, then hit up ABGX website,( verified section)

    notice the number all the way to the right, next to your game. click that and match up the XEC CRC and DL both files(ss.bin and a DMI.bin)


    So now you have a ss.bin file and a dmi.file
    In XBC under the image tab click on the inject button, click the Security sector button and load your iso ,then it will ask for the SSbin you just DL'd.

    do the exact same thing for the DMI button as well. then when all done click the convert to splitvid. as you can see it works .You now have a SSv2

    yeah, I sussed this out last night but am not entirely convinced its safe. Maybe i'm just being paranoid, but i dont see why anyone never brought this solution up before? is there definately nothing obvious we are missing to say that this isnt a safe solution??

    i tried doing that for my operation flashpoint that i already burned but it didnt work. everything checks out right but it wont patch.

    ermm.....youre not trying to patch an already burned disk are you? cos that wont work!!

    use xbox backup creator to manually patch the iso on your hard drive, then run through abgx360 again to make sure it worked (remember to uncheck 'patch even if stealth passes' in abgx, so it wont try to patch it to something other than the ssv2 you just patched it to.

    pretty simple and never really thought bout it. but was curious, as xbox 360 drives are SSv2 but there are SSv1 out there past wave 3. wanted to fix them so here it is for everyone.

    not sure. probally cuase the SS was never to much of a concern until LT came out requiring strict SS levels.
    (when i say concern dont take it literally)

    just use XBC to copy it to your HDD and then use it from hdd for patching then run ABGX. it will work.
