Alternate Corona Cpu_rst - no removal of x-clamp

Below is an image of an alternate cpu_rst point for 16mb coronas.

This does not require removal of the xclamp so should speed things up for some.

THIS POINT IS OF SIMILAR SIZE TO STBY_CLK ON THE OLDER CONSOLES AND CAN QUITE EASILY BE LIFTED! THE ORIGINAL POINT IS MUCH LARGER.

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I take no responsibility for any damage you do to your console.

Top side (probably the more difficult as the underside is soldered to already)

Top side added, but underside probably easier.

Especially as you're going to post_out1 anyway.

    ---------- Post added at 17:03 ---------- Previous post was at 16:59 ----------

    Alt points for E/F

    E - R2C8 (top of resistor - nearest i2c header)

    F - R2C7 (top of resistor - nearest i2c header)

C - Under heatsink (can't be arsed removing it)

3.3v is 3.3v get it from many sources, above current pad is 3.3v switchable not standby.

Re: Alternat Corona Cpu_rst - no removal of x-clamp

    Hello OggyUK,

I sanded the alt point of the cpu_rst that you show in the top side of mobo. When Im testing with a multimeter, i realized thats ground. Its correct this point connected to ground?

The mobo has the cpu_rst point under the x-clamp and the R4P4 point lifted and when power on, red light turn on.

    Do you have any advice?

    Thanks.

Don't post for help in this thread.

In all instances, if you can't perform the repair yourself, send it to a pro.

    Actually I do,

Give up, you clearly don't have the skills and/or tools to do this.

That is the best advice that you can be given.

Does it red dot on stock nand ?
Apologies in any delays in replying to messages. Had the engine fall out of one car, taking the garage to court - another car has brake issues and the third is being converted to UK spec. This is taking up most of my spare time. I'll reply when I can.

    Split personality ?

It doesnt red dot on the hacked nand as it full resets before it can.

Thank you so much for posting these pics!!! I had been working for 10 solid hours on a corona v1 board. I lifted the c5r11 pad with the white double shielded cable and was about to throw the board away until i ran across this post. now I just need to get the right timing file programmed to my cr3 lite. I used the bottom point by the way

Yeah, I know, I'll fix it one day. More important things to worry about right now.

4gb and 16mb are very similar. so it doesn't matter. (but v1, v3 and v5 might have differences)

P.S. if somebody needs alt points, check this photo
