    Re: BurnerMAX Payload Tool Compatibility

Done some more testing today on a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-118L1.02 passed initial payload tool test did a burn test results posted below PIF was to high but id probably blame this more on the pc it was in. These drives are IDE and i dont think its the best motherboard in the world.

I am well happy with the BurnerMAX Payload Tool my first burn on a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-220L1.01 gave me great results and no wasted disk on its first burn i cant believe how easy it was compared to the ihas 124b getting a good burn i think i'll switch back to me trusted pioneers that i have used for years.

    Re: BurnerMAX Payload Tool Compatibility

Hi, im Posting my Tests: The First Drive:
    TSSTcorp SH-S223C doesn't work!
    The Second:
    TSSTcorp SH-S182M:
    BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !

New Media detected in drive F:\
    Get's this and doesn't seem to detect a DVD+DL R
But is a Double Layer burner wich seems to be a Bug or something? Because the drive Itself detects that there is a new DVD+DL R

    Have a nice Daay!

BurnerMAX Payload Tool - Version: 0.15

    Found 3 CD/DVD drives D: F: G:

New Media detected in drive D:\

    BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !

Will try matching for known write only drives..
    BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !

It just says "will try matching for known write only drives.."

I've let it sit there for 20 mins and it hasn't changed so im guessing it doesn't work for my drive . Im using an LG Burner.

Does this mean i need to buy an IHAS124b burner?

It doesnt mean you need a B but the iHAS are recommended, C or D will work with the Payload Tool. I personally have a B and C and and my B is getting a little tired, failing burns and randomly spinning up the motor, even when no disc is present, so you can understand my relief when the payload tool was released given that i had a brand new iHAS C in my cupboard. It works great.

Wonder if anyone can recommend a relatively cheap (under £30) lightscribe burner compatible with the tool, and must be available to buy in the UK.
