My xbox is fixed using this tutorial and repair kit II, don't know for how long but time will tell. The first two times I tried the baking process nothing changed so I asumed it hadn't worked. I gave it one last try keeping the power on for 15min after the two red lights appeared and let it cool for 30min. E74 gone. Thanks alot, good stuff

I'm from Portugal and ordered the kit from the UK.

I've just finished installing it exactly as specified in the tutorial, slowly and step by step. Took me almost an hour, but everything worked exactly as expected. RROD is gone :)

Thanks for the awesome work on the kit! (xbox) life saving ;)

I recently bought the xecuter repair kit pro v2 and i have to say that i was impressed with level of detail and quality. But let me explain my problem and why it's still not fully working.

My xbox 360 is a falcon fat arcade version. I received the repair kit yesterday and i managed to complete the fix today.

Previously, my xbox 360 didn't have video nor audio via HDMI, and after fixing, i still do not get any video and audio on HDMI. BUT if i connect the original AV cable (not component one, as i don't have it to test) then i get full color display with sound and everything appears to be working normally.

However, when i turn off the xbox and then disconnect the AV cable and connect the HDMI cable (it's tested with my PS3 and works just fine) there is no video nor sound from my xbox.

I have been looking everywhere for a solution or at least someone with a similar problem to mine who might have found a solution. I even upgraded my dashboard to the latest kinect version but the problem is the same.

Here is the strange but, i also have an HDMI to DVI cable and i have used this to connect the xbox to my computer viewsonic 19" LCD and it used to work perfectly but now it shows the red/purple tint throughout. The xbox dashboard and all my xbox games work normally but the picture quality is permanently tinted. This is what is making me crazy as i just took my xbox apart and re-examined all the pieces and reassembled it all over again.

After 12 hours of non-stop struggle, i think i am ready to call it quits. There is a world of difference when playing Fifa2010 on composite cable v/s HDMI.

Can someone please advise anything on how to fix my problem? Is one of the chipsets on the xbox is doomed (in which case, i presume i should get a new xbox)?

Great product - fixed my xbox. I waited 2 weeks to post this to make sure the fix was good.

I'd recommend upgrading your fans at the same time, my system is now kicking out alot more heat - indicating to me that there is a more efficient cooling process going on inside.

I bought Talismoon Whisper fans for about £10 eBay and a stand with 3 fans built in for a very low price (~£5 eBay). It's done 3 or 4 1+hour sessions so far after fixing and appears stable.

Thanks for a great product!

Sorry for the double message. After checking and re-checking, I finally loosened the bolt, did the baking again (only two red lights this time) and I got the three red lights again.
I tightened the bolt again and now it seems to work. I only played for 15 minutes without any problem. I will try longer later.

Thank you

Hi Team Xecuter,

I've just received the repair kit today and installed it. My xbox 360 came to life immediately after installation. I did not have to wait 5 minutes for the 2 red ring. It was just instantaneous! thank you for bringing such a great product to the market!

Regards.

ive repaired a few xbox 360 for friends of mine using local hardware that seem to work fine after and still do to this day I recently wanted my own console to go on live with ( my elite got banned) i happened to go on my cities kijiji and picked up a xbox 360 that was nearly new nothing less then 1 month , would be great to send in but it was opened from the previous owner who tried to fix it, opened it and seen he tried the penny trick , didnt do it right , and also tried cleaning and replacing the thermal paste , well for him he actually used the wrong paste it was thermal grease , white looking cream , after cleaning it up and using my own hardware and i got the orignal heat pads for the bottom replace the pads used paste and put it together baked it and all was good for about a week did it again lasted about 5 days did it again lasted 1 day and a half , frustrated i looked it up and ive come across people who mentioned having the same problem till they found and used your pro kit 2 , mentioned it has better heat pads and the two extra heatsinks help alot so i went baught a kit from a local store that sell your kit fallowed instuctions and it worked as soon as i turned it on , yay and then i was well final step ... baking after 2 minutes i got the 2 flashing lights turned it off put the xbox 360 back together and then tuned it on about 10 minutes after and i got a e74 error, soo i have no clue i even tried to bake it with the fan on the cpu for about 30 minutes and still nothing , loosened the bolts nothing tightened them nothing , ive fallowed the instuctions perfectly , but the good news from what comes in your kit and from what ive used its a perfect great kit but seems this new new xbox is stubborn
