update for portal

Hi, Trying to run the new Lego Dimensions game on my console. Have copied the game to my hdd but it is detecting the portal as a usb controller and I know it needs an update to detect correctly. I am scared to install the update on the disk as I am concerned it will over right files on the HDD...
