dashboard upgrade

Hi Guys,

I got a cool runner glitch installed in my 360slim about 2(ish) years ago, and at the time it was on Dashboard 16197, and I never bothered to update it, but I'm now thinking about updating it to 16747.

I found a guide on-line that makes it sound easy, using Flash 360 to backup/restore my NAND and xeBuild to edit it..

But I'm not really clear on the method, do I just use the 16747 files to patch my NAND or do I have to repeat the process for all the dashboard versions between 16197 and 167474?

check out the jrunner tutorial as you can now use update method over lan removing the need to manually update

easiest way i think is with flash 360 and xebuild , read your nand enter cpu key and dash then creat new image

Just follow these steps

Press eject ( Xell will show up )
Write down cpu key
Boot console up and go into flash 360
Make a dump of your nand
take the nand and cpu and put into j runner and make the dashboard 16747
Press create xebuild image
Take the update.bin image and put in the folder with flash 360
then use flash 360 to write the update image
Remove power plug for 30 seconds
Insert power plug and boot console
Enjoy

Dont listen to these people. Download J-runner, open it, download latest dashboard, install dashlaunch installer on console, open dashlaunch and enable updserv option, then all you have to do is choose dash, and glitch type, then click update button. dont forget to install the latest dashlaunch patches, by going to the dashlaunch tab and enableing it. As long as xbox is on the same lan as the computer, it will dump the nand, create a new image, flash the new image, and copy the avatar data for you. for the avatar data, you have to download the $systemupdate which is included in the stock usb update file, and copy it to the <jrunner folder>\xebuild\16747\. if you do all of this, it will update your console with 3 mouse clicks, and your system will be completly updated.
