‘Could not start the software’

I have been using my switch with SX pro for a long time running on fw5.01 and now on cfw 2.6.1

I keep reading that I need to update the firmware to the latest update. Is this safe? How come it’s suddenly changed. I haven’t had any difficulty playing a game without updating fw.

Should I update whilst running cfw?

Sorry for being stupid but any help would be really appreciated as all I have are spinning circles in some game icons..

You will need to use ChoijudourNX to update to 7.0.1. That is the newest supported FW at the moment. As newer games and games come out they will always require newer FW to run.

You can use this guide to update offline to 7.0.1. Make sure to select exFAT if your SD is exFAT.

You could also make an emunand and update that one to 7.0.1, then you won't risk hurting your sysnand

HI i am on7.0.1 but i get same results. When i try to start my games my games always shows needupdate and i get only two options: cancel - download. So what sould i do. I try sx os 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 but i allways get a same results.

Normaly i would say its caursed by games need higher FW than on the console, but since your on 7.0.1, that ain't the case
What games is it you have problem with ?

All of my game i try all of my cartridge games and all of my xci games for example: xenoblede chronicles 2, syberia 3, arms, zelda botw, .......... I try everithing. What should i do? I try to install nsps or xcis but i got same results
I use the lastest sxos: 2.6.2.

I change my sd card 64 to 256 and i make a new sdcard as the first but now nothing works. Before i can use my games without any problem but they need an update as well but at this time i can update but now i cant. Because 8.0.0 came out.

We dont have any upgrate software for games?
Dont work as well they need to download update. But this game cartridges all rigth i can use this on my other nintendo switch.

Games updates is in the grey area when it comes to piracy, we can't give you any links, but search the net, they are out there somewhere
