Hi,

I have 2x clean nand dumps of this box. I flashed the ECC fitted the glitcher no go so i removed everything flashed original nand back thats when i got 3RL with the error code as described

I am good at soldering and cleaned everything up well, whats weird is if i flash the .ECC back it doesnt RR anymore. But because i cant get it to glitch im stuck.

I read the flashed nand back and did a compare it was the same as the original dump i did.

Please help

Nowhere
need pics of the install. also what tools did you use to build your ecc?

What are you using to make your .ecc ??

Have you tried building with 360 Multi Builder ?

I had the same problem on a stubborn Falcon 5771 that I couldn't do with Coolshrimp tool.

Hope this helps.

And there were no bad blocks within the first 50 blocks?

I tried ECC with coolshrimp and multibuilder no joy.
I have tried coolrunner with opus and falcon firmware no joy.
With the ECC flashed i can hear the fan whiring up and down in a strange fashion as if its trying to glitch. The green light on cool runner never comes on the red light is solid.

The wiring is fine i have done many jobs before and have done over 50x ps2s in my lifetime. Im good with an iron. The 360 is not frozen just green center light stays solid with ECC flashed i know its not frozen because it responds to my sync controller request and the green lights circle as they would.

He said it's fine when original NAND is flashed back, would be suprised at needing reflow, but then it is an X-Box !

What lights are on the coolrunner when you power up the console ?

Are the switches in the correct position on the coolrunner?

After flashing the Nand did you remember to remove the power plug for 30+ seconds ?

I would say check correct positioning on Both switches on the Coolrunner.

And a final thing I experienced with the Rev.2 board on a Zephyr. That was powering up and doing what you describe green power light on and sync control (No red lights however). I added the Blue cap as I didn't realise it was now on-board !!

If you have the new Rev.2 board it's a simple case of bridging the marked area on the Coolrunner board.

Good Luck.

You say your good with the iron.. I would still post pics to see if someone else sees something
Maybe you solder wrong point or got the wires in wrong spot on the coolrunner itself. You did flip the.program switch back to normal right? Try flipping the switch to slim..

sorry i wasnt being clear before

with Original NAND 3RL with strange secondry error code of 000001
with ECC flashed no RR but not glitching therefore cant boot.

coolrunner just stays on with red light no green flash. Its switch is on fat i tried it on slim no joy. Tried blue cap no joy i have a old revision of the cool runner.

Post close up pics of your install. Maybe we can spot something you missed. Otherwise we are just guessing.

Dude !!

Now I'm feeling a little shocked..

Why are you soldering to the legs of the Coolrunner and not the supplied spots on the circuitboard ?

Also using the same coloured wire is asking for trouble and can easily be confused / soldered incorrectly.

The Coolrunner is supplied with the required wires and these are of a optimised gauge and length.

I think you have a short in your board. Once CPU starts you get RROD with orig nand because of that.

With ecc flashed Coolrunner doesn't/cannot activate CPU and thats why there is no RROD and no glitching

Desolder the CR and flash the stock NAND back. If you get the same Secondary Error Code then your GPU needs a reflow. I've just reflowed one with a SEC of 000000000.

You can simply remove the 3.3v wire from the Coolrunner board to disable or switch to PRG. Both of these options will work.

Could I still ask why you have soldered to the legs of the Coolrunner and not the provided spots ?

I also notice that you appear to be running 2 ground wires.

Stick with it and you will get there. I was shaking like a leaf the first Jtag that I did as I hadn't soldered since PS1 days.

However the soldering has become second nature once again.

Good Luck ..

i soldered to the legs because i ran out of other ideas and i saw other people had wired it like this to keep the power lines away from the CPU RST.
