Ok i tried flashing my friends drive, i already had a sil sata card so replaced it with one that was recommended on the textbook tutorial

Now it comes up ALIM5283 or ALIM5289 i cant remember.
I have no problems getting into mode b and windows detects the drive.
Basically i followed the tutorial and when i open toolbox and select RAw dumpware firm as and save it as original nothing happens and the sytsem hangs then crashes, any ideas what can be causing this? How long should it take to save? i had to restart computer by resetting it twice now.
Also when the computer boots up i need to disconnet the sata cable and plug it back in whilst windows is loading up as it doesnt boot up if its left plugged in.
