I flashed my 0225 to Stock 0225-U Firmware with JungleFlasher. It showed my drive key as verified, I made sure it was properly identical to both Source and Target places, wrote the firmware, then outro'd the device.

Connected, updated to the latest dash that recently was released, and left it at stock for a few days and just used Netflix.

Last night, I went to flash back to LT 2.0. Did everything that I did before, and I've flashed about four or five drives, so I'm confident I knew what I was doing, but after flashing back to LT 2.0, my drive showed "Play DVD" for all games I have, backups, and retail games. The only thing that played was REAL DVD movies.

I flashed back to stock firmware, and the same thing is happening. I KNOW this is my key, there is no way I could have managed to get the wrong key as this is a fresh Windows installation and I have ONLY my flashing files on this machine.

So, what are my options? I tried messing with my Sputnik360, but it's no use. Is my PCB screwed up for some reason?

If so, would it be wise for me to just pick up the Unlocked PCB, install it, then flash the firmware, and I should be good? Or what exactly seems like is the problem?

I tried Stock, LT 1.9, and LT 2.0, and all firmwares showed the Play DVD error. I'm at a loss now.

Any quick suggestions? I'd really like to figure this out! It looks like one of the pads on the PCB has came off, so now I'm assuming my only option is the Unlocked PCB option.

I have my KeyDB file and my Key shows Verified and I know that's my key, so I guess now I just need to get the Unlocked PCB, and flash?

instead of using key db use your fw dump instead

check all your saved bin files, and compare the drive keys (You said you had done a few drives in the past) my thinking is the drive key does not match, maybe by accident you used the wrong drive key in source, the only real way to check is by testing all your existing stored bin files.

I used all the different dumps that I have. The OFW, my iXtreme 1.91, my LT 2.0, and the Stock 0225 from the JungleFlasher Stock folder, and all resorted in the same exact problem, which NEVER occured before I flashed back to Stock firmware before updating to the latest dash that just occured.

I can't do any more attempts as one of the pads on the PCB is busted and I can't get a connection to my Sputnik anymore. I know this is my drive key, as it's the same in all of these different firmware files. I've loaded each one in JF and compared to the one in my KeyDB and it's identical. I don't know if maybe I just screwed up the drive somehow, but all I am assuming at this point is I can either get a replacement stock PCB and a new Sputnik, or I can just get an unlocked PCB and hope it solves my issues now.

Unless anybody else has any ideas, I really don't know what else to do. I can't get the Sputnik to connect to the PCB because of destroyed pad, and I'm just thinking the unlocked PCB sounds the only route.

The only thing that worries me is that I put the different firmwares on the drive prior to this happening and then it started giving me the Play DVD error, so I don't know if maybe I can get the Unlocked PCB and then try something from a link I found on here of someone having the Play DVD issue and they opened a Hex Editor and entered some different values. That's the only thing left I can think of, but I'd hate to buy an unlocked PCB for about $80 and it not help..

Hmm, I'll snap a picture later when I can, but basically it's the middle and right points that the Sputnik connects to that are both gone from the PCB.

One of them is the one diagramed in the picture, and the other is the right side one, not the left. Both of those won't connect anymore on the PCB.

Unless there's alternative routes for both of those points, I feel like I'm screwed.

I'll give the C59 point a try tomorrow for the middle pad, but is there an alternative for the right side pad that the Sputnik connects to?

Thanks!

i had quite a similar problem with my slim 0225(labeled 9504), but it didnt work when i flashed it with the lt 0225u firmwire. I had had to redump the firmwire with the latest JF and flash with LT 2.0 for 0225 (not 0225u) and it worked perfectly.

So do a new dump of your drive FW with latest JF and flash with LT 2.0 0225(not 0225u) and see if it works. And you might want to lock your drive if you play online.
