LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM 0225 Unrecognised Disc

My future bother in laws xbox stopped reading discs, so I pot tweaked it then flashed it. But it wouldn't read backups at all.

So, to save myself some time I decided to just buy an unlocked PCB, and a new laser.

It flashed fine, but when I try and play XDG3 backups I get 'Unrecognized Disc' or 'Disc is unreadable, clean it blah blah blah'

The laser read 2.13, so I tweaked it to 3.03 then slowly went down, but it still won't read backups.

original games work fine.

Any help?

It's a Verbatim MKM003, I've used it to test every LT3 flash I've done since Max Burner was released.

At least that rules that bit out then, have you tried it with both 0225 and 0225u firmware as I had a similar issue in the past, be default JF chooses one or the other cannot remember which way around but I had to manually choose the other for my issue.

Yeah when I used 0225U I just got 'play dvd'.

Played FIFA 10 (XDG2) and Lego Harry Potter 5-7 Years (XDG3) they both played fine for a good 20 minutes each.

So there's nothing wrong with the FW or drive itself.

Therefore it might be the backup, which is why I'd recommend to re-rip and burn.
