why does everyones ck3 probe to ck3 probe 3 tutorial involve more than just putting a swith on the 3.3v wire? is it really as simple as you say it is? everyone elses involves like other buttons and stuff

A galaxy far far away....
if it is too complicated for you to understand you may want to just buy yourself a probe v3

with all the time you have wasted in this thread you could have ordered an d360usb and probe v3 and had it at your door step by now

It is simple...cut the right wire . Solder in a switch (some call it a button.lol) done...
The links given show the right wire...some people are just scared they will stuff up...do at your own risk...buying one is easier for some

Read this or buy a Probe 3.

If you have a Probe v1 or v2, you can get a PMT conversion cable - most (if not all) Xecuter resellers should have them in stock.

A PMT has to be the easiest thing ever to make lol.

ok, the button on the ck3 probe literally on it, is that necessary for the pmt hack? or do you just need the switch on the wire??

right near the beach :)
you need a link to a switch? do you have a radioshack or similar electronics hobby shop where you live? all it has to do is reliably open and close one circuit. there are plenty of different kinds. the easiest to use would be a push-to-open momentary contact button switch, but any switch will work. if you can make a reliable contact by twisting the wire onto the switch terminals, then that will do fine. there are also crimp-style connector types (see the tutorial I linked you to). no need to over-think this... it's really simple.

you can use a house electric light switch ffs! or just cut the wire hold it together then when prompted in JF take the wires apart then put them back together, all you are doing is breaking the circuit. Its not rocket science your not sending a man to outer space then having him reenter the earths atmosphere and land back on the earth safe and sound

your just cutting the wire and putting any switch/button in-between to enable/disable the electric current on the 3.3v wire.
