LITEON 9504 0272 and dash updates

My brother has a slim with a unlocked pcb flashed from 9504 to 0272 and LT+ 3.0. Right he does not use xbox live and has no plans to but he has brought the new star wars kinect from play.com and it wants to update the dash. Can he update the dash without flashing to stock first or will his drive go back to stock.

It is always recommended to revert back to stock before doing the update then reflash to LT 3.0

It's reccommended to flash to stock but no it won't reflash to stock as it is now meant to be locked

Thanks for that, he does not want me to flash back to stock unless he has too, i just wanted to make sure it would not reflash the drive. Thanks alot
