try a sata to usb connector since you dont have an x360usb, i had that same problem. onboard sata does not work well with slim key

You ask why SlimKey doesn't work and you aren't even using proper tools?

This is exactly why we recommend the X360USB Pro - SlimKey works great with it ;).

You can use my method with power modification which always works... But it'll be easier to find right tools or another PC.
Try to power Xbox on after running JF (turn Xbox off, reboot PC, run JF, turn on Xbox)

SlimKey will work with a VIA 6421 PCI SATA card and a SATA to USB converter, but it would save time and be much less hassle to get an X360USB Pro.

Most SATA chipsets have trouble introducing Vendor mode on slim drives, but I do know there is one chipset out there that works great (it's an AMD chipset I think).

Yes, the AMD 760 chipset works fine.
I have Intel ICH9 chipset. Intel chipsets often allow to do SlimKey just one time after PC reboot.
This is why I modified key dumping process using some soldering to allow SlimKey on almost any PC :)
