0800 and LT+ 3.0 - do they cancel each other out

Hi All,

I have flashed to lt+ 3.0 to play my backups. I now want to use the same drive to rip my originals. I understand you need to install 0800 firmware but if I do this, will it cancel out the LT+ 3.0?

Can you provide some clarity for me please?

Yes it will. Flash back to stock firmware when switching back and forth.

yes but it must be a DG-16D2S or VAD6038

There are many places that sell these drives, I just use an old benq drive taken from an old console

you can use samsung drives for ripping as well. i flashed a sammy with 0800 and it works great for ripping.

excuse me, after checking, i se that there is no 0800 fm for hitachi drives. however, there is an 0800 fm for sammies. and i have used it successfully.

I think you will find you are incorrect, v3 0800 firmware is only available for liteon and benq drives. The 0800 for sammies is an older version so no good for new stuff.
