LITEON 74850 [0800]Doesn't read backups?

I glitched a slim and was going to play with some GTAIV mods and copy it to my harddrive as well. I got a disc read error so I decided to try to rip it and just copy it to my external with 0800. Well, about half way or so it stops. The game isn't even scratched...

So anyway, I thought no big deal and put my backup copy in the 0800(slim doesn't have flashed drive) and it will not read it or any of my backups. Is this normal? I have never had a reason to try a backup in it before. I have 2 liteons that are both 0800v3 and both have same result.

0800 is for making backups, why not use the slim to copy the game to hard drive then play

The slim had a disk read error on the original and the drive isn't flashed. I flashed a benq to 0800 and it read the original first time as well as any backups I have tried. Guess it may have to do with the model the 2 liteons are..or they are just old and weaker than I thought.

If you have an RGH slim then you can just copy straight from the box to the hd. save the 0800 for other consoles.
