1.4/2.6 ce lite. Cant flash bank2, wrong flash bank1 & frag

okey. I HAVE read all the topics about this, but no similar as mine...
My box: 1.4, my chip 2.6 ce lite. Pinheaderinstall. I've meassure connections from pinheheader (both sides) to point where the trace end. all where good.
D0 is fine.

happy with an new chip, I've flashed bank 1 with an 256kb bios. But with this bios the box frags. red/green, no vid./sound. The flashed bios wasn't for 1,6.

Then I try to flash bank 2 it sucessfully erase and write. but, preflash is there then i start the box again. same if I try to switch dip to bank 1. The bad (?) bios is still there.
Can't do any flashing at all now. But the screen shows the flashing...

If I try to start with bank1, it frags. If I after that run original (chip disable) The clock/date is erased everytime. I always input the actual time before continue.

Any one help...BTW, I ony used http-flash.

If the switches are bad... can i override them in any way?

ok to start with a 2.6 use banks that are actually 512kb when flashing with flashx or whatever you must flash banks 1&2 with the 256kb flash, or better yet use a 512 flash and if you tell it to flash banks 1&2 that is actually bank one and banks 3&4 are bank 2 so reflash it again using the 512 bois and you should be good to go!

Always use a 512k BIOS. FlashBIOS will always attempt to flash to bank 1 512k, leaving you to boot from Bank 2 if anything goes wrong.

Make sure you flash a 512k BIOS and you should be fine. The clock resetting will go away once the Xbox isn't restarting.

I have reflashed my bank1 with an 512 bios, and gues what.. it did work.
Now I´m gonna look @ superdisk....

I have similar problem. Xbox V1.6, Xecuter 2.6 installed with Xapt3r 16. Everything went fine until I flashed the Bios from CD with EvoxM7.bin. It seemed to go through the flashing process alright. Now when I boot with bank 1 sellected the Xbox turnes itself on/off 3 times, on the 3rd time I get blank screen and red eject button. If I boot from bank 2 I get blank screen and orange eject button. Any ideas?

If it will not boot from either bank then there is only a few ways to fix it. One is if you have another xbox that is modded is to hotswap them. (search the forum) Other is to program the chip externally witch means you either have to have a proggramer or know some oe that does. There may be other ideas some one else can think of but thats all I can think of at momnet. If you do not like these ideas you might wanta start a new thread ( of your own ) casue most do not look at thread once they know the fisrt problem was fixed.

Just to add - you're wanting to flash the latest X2CL BIOS to your chip once you're in a position to reflash. You have a 1.6 so use the v16 BIOS. Check the troubleshooting guide in my sig.

Huh. My brother's S Controller was "broken". My friend got a new XBOX (possibly a 1.7), and his S Controller works on port one (of my brother's 1.6a) just fine, for both banks of the X2.6ce.
