I have completed the install, but the external switch shows the X3 bios to be disabled no matter if I quick power, hold power, or hold power and eject...its permanently disabled. The Xbox will only boot to the native bios. Both blue LEDs are lit on the chip. I think I have the problem narrowed down to the D0. When I have the HDD/LAN/D0 cable plugged in and I power on, it will power up for 2 seconds, shut off, power on for 2 seconds, shut off, then FRAG with a red and green flashing light. No video at any time. If I hold down the power button (like I was trying to disable the bios) it will boot to the native bios and not FRAG. If I pull the HDD/LAN/D0 cable from the chip, it will not FRAG and only boot to the native bios. I have soldered and resoldered the D0 and I just cant get it to work. Any ideas would be great.

Oh, and I cannot identify the piece on the right in this picture. What is it? It was not shown in any install guide.

Check your solder on the LPC
The item on the right is for the 1.6 LPC rebuild

The LPC is the part on the motherboard where you put your pinheader

Yeah, that actually sounds more like a bad solder on the LPC pin header, than D0. It took me 3 times to get it working right the first time I modded it. Sometimes the soldering job looks fine but it's not quite. Double and triple check EVERY one of them to make sure the solder is completely filling the holes and touching the pins and make sure none of the solder is touching solder from the other pins. If you need to take a break and come back later fresh to try again.

Thanks for the help guys...After soldering again for the 10th time, I finally got it working and got the bios flashed to the latest level. Now, I just have to figure out how to use it. Are there any online usuers guides?
