1.6 and 2.6 CE lpc confusion, extra wire

sorry but cant make heads or tails of this, I have an xbox 1.6 and ordered a 2.6 ce modchip, do I need to do an lpc rebuild? there was no flat purple plate with it... I am assuming not... is this correct?
also the 2 small connections on the 2.6 ce the white one and the red one, where does end point of the red one solder into ???
did my search cant find answer, please help

Yes, you will need to do the LPC rebuild. You should have been supplied with the purple rebuild board as part of the kit. Ask your supplier to send you one.

The red wire gets soldered to the alt 5V supply. Make sure you remove the correct pin from the pin header as well before installing it. Full instructions here http://www.teamxecuter.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin16.htm

nevermind, did it all on my own... by the way for those of you who have fragging problems it is almost guaranteed to be a soldering job, not enough on the lpc pins
