1.6 controller ports

I know i read somewhere, cant find it again, but what is it with the 1.6 controller ports and other version boxes?? or is it other version ports with a 1.6 box?? i know one of these senarios does not work, right?? which is it?? thanks a lot.

I have never heard of and compatibility issues between controller ports or anything to do with the 1.6 controller ports specifically

The wires on the 1.6 controller ports are shorter than the ones used on the 1.0/1.1's (the ones with the "Daughterboards") so the controller port wires on the right side (ports 3 & 4) will not reach to plug into the Daughterboard.Otherwise they work fine.I have had no problems using the different version controller ports,other than what I just stated.
This will only affect you if you plan on putting these contoller ports into a 1.0/1.1 Xbox or you are putting a 1.0/1.1 Motherboard into your 1.6 Xbox.
