1.6 frag, havnt found anything like it

the usual 3 boot frag.
BUT
the control pannel works perffectly... and so does the user interface with power and reset buttons...
(quick press, long press, flash both press)
the chip off feature does go to ms dash....
the chip on feature frags...
and flash just hangs... then eventually the front led's both turn on (power led's) in my case making it purple (i have blue/red power leds)


no video in any chip on mode
this is a problem ive had for over a month now, soldering resoldering... trying different methods (direct connect non-rebuilding lpc method) (pin header) (wire install) all seem to get me the same results

i have attempted the chip with just the d0 disconnected... it frags much faster then when its connected... so im led to assume it ssomthing the chip checks for after the d0 (aka not a d0 problem?)

yo I had the same problem but fixed it by opening up the xbox and took it apart with the cables still connected i put my finger on top of the contacts on the x3-chip and pressed it down.(the contacts where the lpc pins meets the x3.)and powered up and wips there it worked.when you start up xbox now do you see x3 2048k under where it detects the video encoder?if not try what i did..it not dangerous just a funny feeling in the fingerhehe

my x3 doesnt have pins... one broke off inside the x3 socket, so i had to remove the socket, im going from soldar point to soldar point (xbox soldar lpc point, to soldar point on x3)

Problem after injecting XUID - No storage device

Hi

I have a jtagged xbox and I have an offline profile
I saw a tutorial on how to insert a XUID in that profile so I could customize my avatar (lightsaber ftw)

I followed a tutorial, opened the profile, added XUID and done!
When I used the profile on the xbox everything was ok, avatar items, etc, but ONE game didn't work, Earthworm Jim, with an error something like "can't find storage device" in the main menu. I couldn't even try the game.

I put my old offline profile back (unhacked) and the game worked perfectly!
After that I tried again to add the XUID and this time around it was all ok.. for Earthworm Jim! I tried Splosion Man and I got the same error "no storage device found" and again, I can't even start the game. Stuck in the main menu

I forgot about that.. And just didn't play the game!


Well, today's game with a problem is Risk Factions.

I sent it to the xbox and i can actually play it.. the thing is when i Go the options menu and back, when the game tries to save, it gives this warning and I can't save anything:



Immediately after this error I made a backup of my content folder, formatted the Xbox Hard drive and sent my profile and Risk Factions back to the console.. Again same error.

Then I tried the backup profile (unhacked) from before, without XUID, and it worked perfectly, saving and all.


Anyone know if there's anything I need to sign, unlock, hash check whatever?
Its strange that most games work and some don't!


I know the simpler solution is just suck it up and stick with the profile without XUID.. But I ain't pimping without my lightsaber!
And if this works for most people.. It must work with me!
