I installed my x3 on my 1.6 box and the chip wont turn on...everything is installed and soldered correctly(i think) i follow everything step by step and now when i turn my box on, the chip light doesnt turn on and it loads the ms dash. ive checked my solder points 5 times already and still no power...is there anything else that could be the problem? maybe a bad chip? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here
Check your SOLDERING... 99.9% of all problems is the SOLDER on the LPC pins

My first X3 I had to resolder 4 times. spent 6 hours on it.

2nd one I spent 45 mins and worked first time.

Jasper 16mb 9199 NAND needed

Hey guys, i've got a big favor to ask.

I'm convinced that i have an e79 Jasper 16mb with a corrupted NAND

it was updated from 8955 to 9199 the other day and now e79 when it starts up

this is not an uncommon thing for xboxes to do, but i am just experimenting around with a way to fix it

i've tried the clearing of the update via holding the sync button, but no dice

i would really appreciate it if someone would dump a 16mb Jasper NAND at 9199 and send it to me so i could paste in my KV and other info from the "bad" NAND and then try flashing that to xbox

i'm not sure it will work, but i'd like to give it a try

i could go out and buy an elite Jasper, but that would be paying a little too much for me to just be messing around

i understand this is a long shot, but know knows? could work

once again, this is a 16mb Jasper (typically comes in an elite package) that needs to be at dash 9199

thanks guys!

can't you just make one off you original dump?
you must not understand the concept

you need a good dump to fix the bad parts of the "bad" dump

however, after a long discussion with braveheart, i think i'm going to xclamp fix the xbox

thanks!
