1.6 install frags even w/o chip

Hey i got the x2.6 and an xbox v1.6b i tried both ways of insallation but no luck either way i've tried manually rebuilding the lpc and using the lbc rebuild that came with the chip still no luck finally i got fed up and took the chip out and desoldered all the wires and took the pins out....got it all back together and frag i took it all apart again but i can't figure out why it's fragging

Sounds like you applied a lot of heat to the LPC area. Look closely for burned traces, and make sure you got all of the solder out. Also make sure you didn't accidentally remove any of the pads around the area.

yea now that i look closer one of the pads is fairly damaged i've tried to clean it the best i can but i still can't manage to get it to work man 1.6's piss me off lol

Without being mean it sounds like you need to get your board fixed by someone who knows what they're doing.
