Do You have to install all four of the wires to the bottom of the pins for the x3 chip to work. I tried but the damn traces are so small it is almost impossible and now i get a green/red error when i turn it on. is there anyway to skip that step on the 1.6 because i didn't see the step on any older xbox versions

put some solder tin on the iron, now gently put it on the point on the board where you're gonna solder your wire.

make sure you're using multicore wire.(pre tin the wire, and it's easier )

then solder the wire to the point.

if you understand what i'm saying.

Noob JTAG questions...

Guys forgive me but I cant get straight answers anywhere on this stuff....

1. Is it true that if one connects a jtagged console to live (modded lobbies, etc..) it will be banned immediately upon next login to live? Can it be banned during that first connection?

2. Once banned - the KV can be replaced with an unbanned KV and be put back online correct?

3. Can the NAND be read from a red-ringed mobo?

4. I have a bunch of motherboards with different status (red ring, no sound, no video, etc.. ) What is the minimum stuff I need to grab NAND? Do I just need power to the mobo? Does it need connected to video, HDD, etc?

A1: once you go live your flagged and are pending for ban. some say you can get caught instantly. though i've never heard of that happening to anyone nor has it happened to me.
some will leave a console on for as long as possible. next sign in will defiantly be a ban. i tested one and i was able to power down the 360 and start it back up twice into xbl within the same hour. the next day it was banned.

5-12 hours your gonna be banned for sure. just the console. and it doesn't do anything but render signing into live impossible. unless. you unbann.

A2: Yes.

A3: Yes

A4: power to the 360 doesn't even have to be on, just be sure the power supply is plugged in. HDD connected to the 360 is NOT needed to read the nand.
