[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]versio1.6a (Xcaliber and samsung)
Xecuter 3CE
1.6 rebuild pcb

i have installed my chip twice (multimeter says all solder joints are good, 35 yrs electronic engineer exp.) Both blue LEDs and flash protect LED light up. Restarts 3 times and frags on the 3rd. i have tried all 32 combinations on the switch. I can bypass the the chip (long press) just fine. The odd thing is I cant boot the backup (both power and eject), it doesn't do anything. However the eject causes it to reboot 3 times and frag regadless (long or short press). Could the chip have never been loaded with FlashBIOS and is that how it would act?

Looks like you're in the same boat as me, good luck on your journey of finding a solution.

The only place that you are going to find your proper Flashbios 3.0.1 is on Banks 1-4, ON ON OFF OFF.

If the PCB has been soldered correctly to activate all its circuits you'll get a solid blue light on the switch when you press power with Banks set to ON ON OFF OFF

A multimeter continuity test between the top and the bottom of the pins does not indicate the "continuity" between the pin and the motherboard--that's where the soldering is so important.

And those soldered points cannot really be tested for connectivity using a multimeter.

Welcome to modding. I had to do mine more than once.

Just in case you have not seen this page

I had same problem, spent 3 hours checking .
Desoldered that rebuild board and hard wired links instead and it worked first time. My mate also had same problem and he did same with the same result.

Conclusion

Use fine wire instead of rebuild board.....:)
