have 2 1.6b which have both stopped working on the same day, both have 2.6b lite executers on pin install and chip flashed on programmer with m8 bios and booted up fine to cromwell flash and booting games fine

now both consoles are fragging on bank 2 and nothing from bank 1 just blank screen

all lights are on as usal on chip and console so nothing wrong there, surely soldering is sound as already been working for period of time,is this a problem with the chip is our question and how can it be solved

Has anything else happened to these machines? Are they installed with stock HDDs, etc? Is there anything else you can tell us?

Do the Xboxes work with the chip off?

2 of the 3 sorted,1 was power to the chip had worked its way loose somehow, put back on and fine, machine we had was a popped wire on the solder pad on rebuild, suppose has taught us to use solder instead on relying on the pad,3rd machine owners still not contacted us about the machine

1.61 FW problems?

Backups have been glitchy and not wanting to load. Wondering if this is common for ALL FW or if I was lucky enough to get the clunker?
Yes, the games are properly burned. No, I'm not having wave issues.

Re: 1.61 FW problems?

take your drive apart and clean the focus lens with alcohol and a q-tip
then use the dry end to wipe the excess residue off of the lens

then clean the black spindle platter with alcohol
