1.6b - Messed up flash. What now?

Hi to all...

I'm having some trouble flashing my X3ce on a 1.6b xbox. First time around I tried to flash using a DVD. The flashing crashed about 75% the way through the progress bar. I left it running for about an hour in that state, as I wasn't sure if it took a while to flash. After about an hour I decided it wasn't working and rebooted, losing the flashBIOS of course.

I'm now in a position where no matter which bank I select, I can't get flashBIOS. 1st bank gives me a blank screen and the second bank just reboots on me.

Can anyone advise what I should do from here??? I understand there's no programmer for the X3ce, so I'm feeling a little up the creek with no paddle at this point.

Yep, you've deleted your copy of FlashBios3.03. You need to find some with a non 1.6b modded Xbox that you can use to reflash your chip.

Devastated!!! I think I'm screwed now. I don't know anyone that can do this for me! Anyone know if I can send my chip off to somewhere reliable to have this re-done?

Where do you live? You could ask your seller if they will do it for you.

I have a non 1.6 box...we could put it on that and flash it

Cheers Islander... I read that somewhere else as well. Someone's gonna help me and sort my chip, but I'll definitely consider trying the spider programmer in the future.

i had the same prob, but i can't send it any where. this chip is for a friend i was getting it ready for him so all i had to do was solder it in. i have a 1.6b and so does my friend.


here is the prob the chip i bought, well i did the same as this guy. but when i hotswapped the chip it still didn't work. ( i have 2 X3ce chips, one flashed with evov-x, YEA I KNOW IT WAS STUPID BUT EVERYTHING WORKS THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSE TO, and the other has a deleted flashbios) when i took MY chip turned on my box and went to the flashbios screen under settings it says "unknown flash type" WHY? i have the latest x3 bios 3294, flash3.0.1, flash3.0.3, and some others on there, and i still get that message. PLEASE SOMEONE CAN YOU HELP ME??????????

Have you got the flash protect turned off? How are you try to flash?
