I have a 1.6b that isn't wanting to run on the bios I installed on the 1st bank. I just got through doing two other boxes that are working fine on the latest bios I got from IRC(1959). I have been reading that there are some issues with this version, and that I need to use flashbios 3.0.3. How do I get 3.0.3 on the box and boot up to it so I can flash a valid bios onto the box? Is flashbios just a utility to flash a bios on the chip? Any help would be appreciated. After I install the bios on the 1st bank, the box won't boot, it keeps resetting and then fragging. I can get back into it by using what I'm assuming is the default bios by holding reset and power.

it sounds as if the bios you downloaded is corrupt. Download again and try to flash the same banks using the backup bios.
Lite on board swap with another Lite on?
i know you can swap the boards of other drives as long as your swaping it with the same drive.(hitachi, sammy, benq)
Can you swap lite-ons? I have a lite on (broken laser and other..) its 7 series. i also have a lite on 7 series new one i bought. can i swap the boards so the new lite on works? or do i HAVE to flash/spoof

(recently failed spoofing the lite on to a benq, then thought the benqs laser was messed then tryed pot tweak on it and screwed it up. so yer... this is last chance to get things right lmao.
PLUS! i can flash it with LT when it comes out officialy!
