1.6b wont hotswap X3

I have accidentaly flashed over the flashbios needed. I can't get any bios running. I have attempted a hotswap with 2 other X3's and am unable to get anything on the screen! All LEDs appear normal and the X3 Switch shows blue in all switch settings. Have tried unplugging switch also. Sometimes when trying to start in off on off off mode the eject button turns orange after some time. If I run the box mod-disabled it works fine.

Originally I did have success in flashing the EvoxM8+v16 bios and box was operational but have subsequently lost it in a vain attempt to flash X3_3294 onto it.

Help please. Its' like its a v1.6c!!!!!!!!!!!

can you get to any flash bios?...if you can (try playing with your DIP switchs) then you could always flash the Flashbios you need onto a seperate bank like if you find flashbios 3.0.1 with the setting (off on off off off) then you could switch your settings to (on on off off off) and flash it with FlashBIOS 3.0.3 which you can download from the main page boot from that bank and flash your X3 bios

Thanks for the quick reply, sadly i am unable to get to anything with any switch combination. It boots fine but nothing on the screen on all banks. I have used 2 brand new X3's with the same result. I am going to try and hotswap flashbios 3.0.3 from my working v1.0.

UPDATE*

I have successfully hotswap flashed flashbios 3.0.3 by hotswapping the 'broken' X3 in my working v1.0 and flashing it with X3_3294. Then starting up with the 'broken' chip into X3 Config and using the flash utility there to flash the backup rom with flashbios 3.0.3. I could then put my now not so broken X3 into my 1.6b and successfully booted to flashbios screen.

Problem now is what I discovered earlier, in that I cant flash either X3_1959 or X3_3294_v16. When i try it halts at about 25% on both. I am trying to flash it to bank selection ON ON OFF OFF with out success.

Should I be using a different bios? Last time i tried before i thought i bricked the X3 i managed to get an EvoxM8 bios running.

did you get bios from xbins or other if not do so if so try downloading it again

I just downloaded a new version of X3_3294 and same bananas. For some reason though the EvoX M8 Bios works....

Any suggestions?

Ok, so it seems that I cannot flash any X3 bios onto any bank! Any other bios will work fine, but that defeats the purpose of having an X3 chip.....

I have checked pins 13 and 14 and resoldered accordingly. I am at a loss. I may have to stick with an EvoX bios or some other inadequate one.
