1.6b X3 Flash problem

Lo,

I've installed a new X3 chip on a Xbox 1.6b.

Firat time booting went ok, and the X3 came with FB 3.01 installed.

I flashed it with X3 3294 over the web and it all went as planned (used the first 1mb - ON ON OFF OFF OFF in the switches).

The problem is that now the sytem gived FRAG when I'm trying to boot it (tried the second byte as well...).

First off it can't be a 1.6b...you probably have a 1.6 (samsung ram). 3.01 does not work on 1.6b.

Next you flashed the wrong bios. You need the 1.6x version as below.

Press power and eject together to get to backup flash 3.01 then reflash your chip with the correct X3 bios ...3294 v16plus.bin
Switches set as on,on,off,off,off

Oops... indeed I used the wrong version. However, I do have a 1.6b (Hynix chip) and a 3.0.1 FB.... still working.

wow ...ok If its Hynix its a 1.6b

I have heard of a few 1.6bs working with 3.01...but there seems to be more and more recently

maybe the timing has changed on this RAM yet again(the original problem I believe was the Ram refresh or something like)

Anyways boot backup and reflash the correct bios
