1175 Update From C4E

Not seen a 1175 drive but i would think they are the same pcb just different firmware so unlock methods will more than likely be the same :)
1175 are the same PCB's as older versions just different firmware again like the in the old phat lite-on's. from what i understand the 1175 firmware was dumped last year but employs a new encryption that is different from the older DG-16D4S drive model. so hopefully we can use the TX replacement PCB's

I Believe its not the same PCB

If it was a firmware but same pcb would it not be a DG-16D4S 1175. Instead its a DG-16D5S 1175 so i would imagine hardware changes aswell as firmware

from what i looked at they looked the same, i will take a closer look tommorow and compare :eek:

i dont think it matters much, point is the original firmware must have been read, decrypted, hacked/rewritten and flashed back
every step good news
sorry i doubted the thread title, with so many things described by strings of numbers its sometimes easy to mix them up, well for me anyway ;)
